We were in Sisters this last weekend, actually Suttle Lake. I did see a sign for the Sisters Smith Rock scenic bikeway. We will be back there for the quilt show in July, and planned to check it out...
Trekdianna, I think it must be the location, and just not the splendor and challenge that Crater Lake was. I love Eastem Oregon as well. And I'm with you, it is for fun. First year we did it we were...
Yay for signing up! I think it will be wonderful. It is so funny that last year sold out in 30 minutes or so, and it is still not sold out now 30 days later. It will be a flatter ride than last year,...
Anyone else signed up for this? Looks amazing!
We are going as well! This will be our 3rd cycle Oregon in a row. We grew up in Central Oregon, so it feels like a visit back home. Still hasn't sold out, so I may be in the minority with that view....
I'm going!!! So excited! This is our first Cycle Oregon and it has taken me 2 yrs to get up to speed, but now I hope I'm good enough. My husband and I are riding our beautiful Bianchi's.
Love my garmin 800, but it was not cheap. Great on data for the ride, plus can also download rides from others, store, and get a cute little beep when a turn is coming up.
What a difference a few months make! I'm averaging 15-17 mph , did an 86 miler on Sat. Been practicing on the hills like crazy. I am ready for Cycle Oregon! Did not have surgery, do not need surgery....
I went clipless in January of this year, and most the time I thought I liked them. But I had a total of 4 falls. 2 the first day trying to stop (newbie falls), 1 on an 18% grade I could not sustain,...
Whole leg? Portion of your leg? Have you had back problems? If numbness is on your thigh, sometimes the waistband being tight can press on a nerve. If you note any weakness, or numbness does not...
Do both, do both! Life is too short to not live every minute.
Update!
Thanks for all the advice. I am doing so much better, graduated from the walker (crutches were taken away from me promptly by my family when they saw how crazy I was on them). Used a cane...

List price $249, discontinued color, so I got on sale for $189. Have 500 miles on them, small scuff left toe from a newbie fall, but otherwise great condition.
White with light blue flowers....
Paid $300. Selling after 500 miles of use because I tore my ACL and do not plan clipping in ever again. Scratch on side of left pedal from my 2 newbie falls. Pedals work fine. Offers?
We don't know each other, but you have a marvelous attitude and staying positive is going to help you recover speedily, I wish you the best!
Thanks for all the responses. I'm quite devastated and can hardly stop crying. The pain is nothing. I've become so obsessed with cycling and working towards cycle Oregon for 2 yrs now. Never before...
I've been riding my bike like crazy and really making great progress with my speed and endurance, training for a week long Cycle Oregon in September. I took just a very short ride on Mother's Day,...
Anyone live near me interested in riding sometime? I'm a newbie, but working hard, Im at 11-16 range cruising. It is lonely riding alone (tho still way fun)
54, new to cycling, signed up for cycle Oregon with my husband, obsessively think about biking, routes, getting better. First time clipping in in am, so hope I can actually get to work tomorrow....
Just got my first road bike ever, a Bianchi Infinito Ultegra, and went for my first ride today! Just kept to the flats to get used to it, sitting, shifting, braking. Most awesome time, goes like the...
