Thanks everyone.
Look forward to hearing how you get on with them.
Tattiefritter, "moderate sized" is probably about a 25" TV (not sure of the actual size), bigger than a laptop, but certainly...

Thanks everyone.

zoom-zoom, glad you figured it out.
One thing that can sometimes affect the resistance on a trainer is the calibration of the brake. I use a Tacx Flow and it's recommended that you regularly...
Bad weather is prolonging my indoor training.
So I'm looking to make things more varied/painful!
Has anyone used the Sufferfest videos?
I'm thinking of burning them onto a DVD and watching...
Ooops - sorry, just say that someone else had posted a similar thread in the Beginner's section. :o
Now that Autumn/Fall is upon us, and Winter is just around the corner, just wondering how everyone keeps up their training at this time of year.
Cross-training, turbo sessions, time off the bike?...
Thank you so much Badger, Lisa and MartianDestiny for your input.
I know you're right.
I think I'm beating myself up so badly because at the time of adopting Jasper I became very friendly with his...
Badger, thanks for starting this thread, it's very timely for me.
I'm having a real crisis of conscience between the strong desire to have a dog - and also to get on my bike and ride.
Both me and...
Another recommendation for the FSA Wing compact. Mine are 38mm and they've revolutionised my riding position. I can't rave enough about them!
Mine were £25.99. Worth every penny. :D
I recently had a really annoying creak/clicking sound coming from the saddle area.
Turned out to be the seatpost.
No matter how minor, after a few hours' ride even the slightest creak can drive you...
Thanks BBnT :)
To be honest, the Dura-Ace wheelset and SRAM aren't stock here in Europe - upgraded them, so basically just kept the frame really. :o
But the one I test rode was the stock version -...
My bike's 3 weeks old.
(See shameless "proud mommy" pics in "My new ride's arrived" thread).
I'm like a kid with a new toy and so loving being back in the saddle. :)
ps - apologies to BabyBlueinTulsa for shameless hijack. :o
So, tried the new Avail Advanced ...
Was so completely smitten I brought it home with me.
Rides like an absolute dream. As the guy at the bike store said, like riding with no chain....
Is anti-bacterial the same as "bacterio-/fungistatic qualities" as per their new pot????!
Actually sounds like I'm Assos bashing (now there's a double entendre, if ever there was one!), but I do...
I think the cream coloured stuff is the old stock.
That's what I'd previously used prior to the new stock.
The tubs have also changed colour - no more red Swiss flag logo.
Now reads "Cycling Body...
Nope, it's definitely chamois creme, not cleaner ...
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/SnappyPix/assos.jpg
And it's definitely Assos.
Bought a couple of tubs from different stores here in...
Has anyone else tried the new formula Assos?
I want the old Assos back, with that reassuring tingle!
The new formula doesn't seem quite so mentholated (although the colour has changed from cream...
Kenyonchris, thanks for the heads-up on the Arundel cages.
They're exactly what I've been looking for. I have an XS frame and struggle even with 500ml bottles.
They even do right and left side...
I do remember Miranda Bailey referring to it as a "Va-jay-jay".
That's my personal favourite. :)
There's also "Front bottom". Just for comedic effect.
Has anyone trield Udderly Smooth?
If so,...
Just one last tip - make sure your tyres are properly inflated, with the recommended psi in them.
Riding gravel on under-inflated tyres won't do your rims much good.
BabyBlue,
So thrilled for you. Can't wait to try out the Avail now!
The bag looks great - and does kinda look like Darth Vader from that photo!
As for the saddle, I'm sure you did use some sort...
Have you checked out the Fizik bags? As your saddle's a Fizik, it should take their bags. They clip straight into the back of the saddle, you just pop out the little Fizik logo on the back of the...
Hi
I'm currently using Polar's PPP software (v4.03.049) with my 725x HRM.
Great software, but one thing is driving me crazy.
Does anyone know how to get the exercise note to display all the...
Had the same problem with Conti Gatorskins.
Beaded tyres are a nightmare to try to fit.
My top tip is to always buy folding tyres. A lot of tyres come in two versions - beaded and folding. The...
RR, I do believe the official description is known as "doing a Muffin". :)
