Good morning all,
I was on the forum last night looking over saddle posts, and found some great recommendations from 2013 and 2014 on the Sellas - specifically the Drakon and the Lite 209. Thank you...
Congratulations! I'm so proud of you!
32 miles today in sunny flat Fla (don't hate - just come on down!), and another 32 planned for tomorrow. But it's time to wander back over and re-read the posts on different saddles - ow-ow-ow!:(
64 miles yesterday down here in Fla. 42 degrees when we started, which for us is extreme, lol, but low 70's by the end. Ride with a couple of wonderful ladies on the Suncoast Trail, north of Tampa....
Oh, Shooting Star, I'm so sorry this happened to you! Wishing you full and complete healing.
Hugs,
B
I snuck out of work early on Wednesday and put in 40 miles on paved trails. It really makes me appreciate our Florida weather!
Rode 20 this afternoon, it was in the low 60's to 50's - definitely...
What an excellent topic!
I agree with some of many others' thoughts. I work hard at maintaining a positive energy, and my work includes taking antidepressants as prescribed. That I'm on them...
I'm so impressed, Muirenn, with your knowledge! I have read and re-read your post and will need to do so again. Terms like cockpit, reach, offset markings on the saddle rail - all new to me.
I...
Did a lovely 28.5 with girlfriends on Saturday, (LOTS of wind), plus an additional 10 miles looking for my iPhone, which slipped out and disappeared. Sunday only did 20, but for whatever reason...
I'm thankful for this forum and the collective wisdom of all of us!
I'm thankful to have rediscovered cycling after a 15+ year absence.
I'm thankful to be dating a fellow cyclist.
And like...
Wow SmilingCat,
Your post sounds similar to when I'm up to my neck in a depression. Sometimes a med adjustment helps, sometimes I have to just wait it out. I will not be presumptuous enough to...
Oh, Crankin, I feel your pain! I had to give up Tai Chi after arthroscopic knee surgery - I mean, for heaven's sake, who can't do Tai Chi??? Couldn't do it. I'm thankful every day that the left...
Hi Muirenn,
She's 56cm, a 'show bike,' so she has some upgraded components - definitely a bike I will need to grow into as a rider. She's not women-specifc. I looked at a few women-specific bikes...
Wow, what wisdom! Thank you ladies for sharing! I never considered the nose being up, that will be easy to adjust. And yes, I may well need another saddle - will check into that Specialized Romin,...
I also struggle with the clutter demon, although I'm pretty strict about keeping things past the point of needing-loving-using them. What I love to do is pass something on to someone who can...
Thank you ladies, I appreciate your thoughts.
Oh, Redrhodie,
I echo the wisdom of others - let it be. I stepped away from cycling for about 15 years and as soon as I got back into it, I wondered why in the heck I could have stayed away so...
Hi ladies,
This is embarrassing, but here goes...
I'm 55yo, post-hysterectomy in 2007, have been riding since about July, and purchased a road bike in the past month (Trek Domane - beautiful). The...
Congratulations on Ms. Silque!
I went back and forth between a Silque and a Domane 4.7 - Ended up with the Domane because it was there in the shop and I could ride it; was afraid to order a bike I...
Thank you for sharing!
Hi Sky King,
I have started using almond oil on my hands, legs, and even as a once-weekly deep hair conditioner, here is the link:...
Will try it, thanks!
