I don't get on here much lately, but I have been following this story. I am so very pleased that your kitties are alive and well!!!!

Congratulations, America!!! :)
Yar mateys....this scurvy dog likens to:
-astronomy/astrophotography
-collecting/restoring vintage bikes
-collecting/playing vintage synthesizers
-collecting/restoring vintage watches...
Most of 2008 has been like this for me too. I barely rode at all until the TdF was on TV; that got me sort of motivated, but not much. I've done more swimming (lake and ocean), and much more...
Interesting thread. I have a Garmin 60Cx that does (did) the same thing...random shut-offs due to vibration when I have it mounted on my bike. I don't use mine for training but for geocaching, so...
My 200th cache find today! We did 13 caches in honour of my birthday Aug 13.
Still waiting to hear of my TB "Vive le Tour" made it to France in time for the TdF. It supposedly was given by a...
Oh yeah. Just finished watching the recap on OLN (Canada). I always get a little teary when le Tour is over, especially since OLN doesn't focus much on cycling and we rarely get to see other events....
Hot, breezy, and dusty geocaching ride on roads/trails/across fields/thru forests. Only found one cache myself, but I bumped into a fellow bike-cacher and had great fun watching him go crazy at a...
Ya, I'm fine, thanks. I'm a tough old nut.
I just spoke to the man I "helped". He's home resting. The docs did an MRI and ECG, but couldn't really find an obvious cause. Heat and dehydration...
Figured I better ride again today before I lose it completely, so I headed out for an easy ramble on the Lochside trail. It was packed with all sorts of creatures...cyclists, walkers, dogs, kids,...
I'm watching today's recap now. I'm kinda hoping the TdF will rekindle my desire to ride; I've totally lost it, haven't been on a bike in a month and don't miss it a bit.
Well...maybe a...
Cool stuff! I have NASA TV playing on one of my computers almost 24/7, although right now my focus is on the activities happening on Mars.
For ISS fans, here's a link to help you calculate...

What a hoot! Victoria's was a flash mob/freeze/event cache all in one. The looks on tourists' faces were...

A Wegie queen and her kittens. How sweet can ya get?
:D
Cool, thanks. I'll check out the links you posted.
Nose Hill and Confederation Park sound good; I grew up in that area (Cambrian Heights). I remember when they built Confederation Park!

I'm planning a casual road trip to Calgary (my home town!) probably leaving here somewhere ~May 20th or so. Probably staying 4-7 days or so before coming back to the island.
I haven't been back...
Forecast was for only a 40% chance of light showers, so I saddled up for a bike-caching ride. I needed 5 more finds to reach my 100th cache. Forty minutes in, the sky opened up with 100% heavy rain....
I go to sleep that way, and wake up that way. With usually four cats. Four cats weighing 15+ pounds each.
In between I sleep curled up like a pretzel to avoid disturbing them and getting The Look....
Le Tour? Shouldn't be too difficult to get a TB to somewhere in France for the TdF.
edit: love the beads!
Very cool DebW! Sounds like you're in your element.
:D rofl. I hate it when that happens! Last weekend two senior-type gentlemen on MTB's blew by me like I was in reverse. :o
Sunny and warm here today...big change from yesterday's snow! I was...
11:00 am just west of Victoria. Missed my place (and other areas seemingly at random) completely, dumped heavily on others. Bottom pic is just one kilometer from my greem and snowless home.
Canada. This is kicked around in the news from time to time. I doubt it will happen in the foreseeable future. The amero certainly doesn't have much public support here, at least. Especially with...
