Got in a hilly 4 1/2 miler this morning. Nice weather, temps in the mid-60's. I wore shorts. Amazing how quickly one warms up while running. Quicker than on a bike.
Don't know about treadmills....
Did my "basic" 5K today. Out of my front door, up the street, and then back. A bit boring, but I am doing it faster than a month ago, so that is encouraging. Did a 4.5 miler yesterday. I am wanting...
Yes, that's me, too. I have a very difficult time eating in the morning! But I'm trying.......... food AND coffee. Gotta have the coffee. Something whole grain and something protein and that's about...
Oh, that is so true!
Annie
Congrats, Erin! You sound so excited. Here's hoping for many, many wonderful miles on your new bike. Just remember - its very addicting! You will probably get hooked on a wonderful new sport for...
A lovely, but cool run through the woods today. I so enjoy trail running! Much more than on the road. Did 4 miles in 40 minutes. Enjoyed the entire time.

I clip out/in on the right side. That's my dominant side. BUT I have been trying to learn to clip out on the left side, just in case I ever need to. It is amazingly difficult! I have to concentrate...
Not recently. I think I'd like to find one nearby, tho'. Races are so motivating!
Annie
OMG!!!! :D :D
Just want to congratulate you, RM! Such a dream come true. You will learn so much in the coming months, tho' it sounds like you've already got an idea of your customer base -...
First run for this week and I decided it was time to pick up the pace just a little bit. I didn't have time to add any extra miles, so am hoping the slightly faster pace was a good idea. Guess I'll...
LOL! Please let me know if you find ANY 32 band sports bras in a larger cup size. I don't care what they look like. As for jerseys, as long as they aren't mens' cut, I don't have much problem wearing...
What a great way to build excitement for the 2008 biking season, Lisa!! When the cold and snow is gone, you'll have a brand new beauty of a bike. Congratulations!
Annie
Just be careful with VS bra sizing............ they tend towards "vanity sizing." If you normally wear a 34D, in a VS, you could easily need a 34DD. Or 36 D. I agree, they are well made and will last...
LBTC,
Do you have a Kohl's? I'm just not sure what dept. stores you have in Canada! A 34 D is not TOO tough to find in the states. Just try finding anything in a 32! It's much more difficult.

I've found that when I spend more time riding "in the drops," I automatically use my gluts and hammies more than when I ride slightly more upright. I also agree that if you focus your attention on...
So much great advice! Which I need. :o I don't want to do something stupid and then quit running. I am starting to enjoy it a little bit more. Tho' I just got back from a run and today, it was...
Ditto!
Annie
Thank you all for the good advice! I am taking it all in. I'm going to check out the Cool Running website and maybe that can help me get a routine started.
Annie
I've been taking it slow, trying not to add too much running too soon....... or I know what will happen. I'll hurt and I'll quit. I'm up to 4 1/2 miles. Started with 2. I run twice a week, tho' as I...
I did that for a few years, till the bike shop quit doing the classes. :( I liked it because it was on MY bike, not a spin bike, and it was with other people, instead of a trainer alone in my...
I ride in town ONLY to get out of town or to get to work. Otherwise, it's backroads, country roads for me. I am much more uncomfortable in town, riding the busy streets.
I think you've been given...
Thanks, Lisa. I certainly hope I didn't sound like I was telling anyone here to "screw off!" Yikes! There are certainly people out there who I might say that to, but I can't think of one single...
Another vote for the Take-A-Look mirror. It is very adjustable and so easy to use. I cannot ride without it anymore. You can see what's behind you with barely a turn of your head and flick of your...
Well, this is kinda bicycle-related and fun to do during the cold season. I make bike-themed necklaces out of Sculpey clay. I used to just make them for the enjoyment of creating them and to give...
