I have gotten into road cycling this year. We are planning to train for a century in October. We have a long way to go! I am also working on speeds. Starting next week, I am commuting to the farm...
My other half got his MLIS degree from PITT and although it's considered to be the same as a traditional degree, he did it online. He did, however, have to travel to the school occasionally. That...
is anyone going to either of these events the first week of March?
I will be attending the women's event. I won a scholarship to do so. I'm pretty stoked! I'll be in town (sans bike) on March...
I have a couple of rides to contribute to on this thread:
The Ball and Chain Century July 21, 2013: The event features three courses: 42 mile, 60 mile metric and 100 mile century routes, starting...
Look at her! Adorable. Mine loves the tub too. She keeps falling in the shower in the a.m. It's too funny. She also has death battles with the hair dryer and it's cord, while I'm using it.
I wish I could say that.
I agree with this too. They had a serious vendetta against Armstrong.
I second this statement and its a VERY SAD state of affairs for young and new cyclists.
I struggle with this too and it drives me INSANE. According to most manufacturer charts, in order to get a cycling outfit that first perfectly, I'd have to go into the 3/4X category. 3/4X are you...
I have a new kitty. I just couldn't deal with the sadness of missing my skittles kitty any longer. The new one is named Luna (tic) and she is adorable. She was a feral rescue cat that was fostered...
Indian summer here too, in the mid Atlantic. I got a new saddle in August, but life has been chewing me up and spitting me back out and I haven't had time to ride. I think I've been out maybe three...
I am so excited for you. What an accomplishment and you looked great out there getting it!!!!!
I am considering joining weight watchers. I just don't do well with online only challenges. Wish me luck!
Totally jealous of all those changed leaves and your ride. How beautiful. All sick days should be like that day.
I rode my bike to a funeral this past summer. I didn't dress in my nice clothes though because it was 100 degree weather. I changed in the chapel.
Withm, I might do the same as you. It' turns out I'm not ready for a real tour or anything over 20 miles. I just did get a new saddle and it's killing me. My bike is also still too short for me and...
Dear people who want to help me when I don't want it.
I really do love you guys and girls for looking out for me. I realize I am mostly poor and yeah, probably shouldn't be spending 800$ on a new...
This is sweet. I met a low income guy last week who has rode his pedals down to nubs. I felt so bad for him and his beat down bike. He was as happy as a clam to be out biking though. His story was...
This girl is AMAZING! She just cycled 10,000 miles across Asia, solo. http://www.wandercyclist.com/
I wear dresses sometimes, while cycling. I just make sure to wear a short short up under the dress to keep prying eyes away. It helps to not have something long and frilly too, it will get caught...
What a sweet old boy you had. I have been through this twice in the past year. It never gets any easier. Time is the only thing that heals. Hugs and I hope your family finds peace soon. You were a...
I rode 21 miles yesterday. The weather was gorgeous (78f) and I spent four hours outside. Two of those hours riding and two hours visiting with family and friends. It was a blessed day!!!
OH! Your doggie also looks like a calico. How cool. And the bird is adorable too.
YAY! Are you staying in Easton or Salisbury? I'm in Salisbury.
