I still do this every once in awhile. I call it "Out with the old air! In with the new!"
You don't want to ride around on stale air, right? :)

The other thing I do: I have a nylon re-usable shopping bag positioned so that when I put the bike in the back, the front tire lands on it and I can slide it all forward.
This helps!
I have locked my bike inside my car to a grab bar when having it in the car overnight.
Also, maybe a sheet (or tablecloth) instead of a blanket: Easier to manage.
No way! Really? OK -- off to Garmin support pages. Thank you!
I do have an iPhone and reserving its batter is precisely why I use a Garmin.
I want to be able to reliably double check the maps if I need to as well as make a call.
I have the Garmin 305...
This. I was prescribed something specific. The doc who prescribed was a cyclist himself; knew exactly what I was dealing with. Said to NOT use neosporin, ever, that it is very irritating (lots of...
Thank you for verbalizing this.
While it is useful to consider myself a survivor (as opposed to victim) I don't feel like I'm living a lifestyle; nor do I feel completely truthful when I just say...
Count me among those who experienced the blues after all the active aspects of treatment (surgeries / followups) was complete. I didn't connect it to the Tamoxifen -- but that makes sense. I was in a...
You are doing more than trying hard enough!
Yes, that is it.
Definitely give yourself a break! You will get back to your previous level of fitness. I promise you. But pushing limits this early may result in delays. Revel in your accomplishments, including...
It's hard to say. For instance, the bike path that goes under the 405; I won't ride that part because 4 years ago a guy got thrown off his bike and beat up there. Yet, I have a friend that rides it...
I've done the City of Angels tour a couple of times and I am amazed at the great condition of the streets in LA, in particular, downtown LA. So much better than San Diego.
Very, very, VERY awesome!
Tamoxifen is basically a breeze although there are some side effects. I've been on it going on two years, so let me know if I can help.
I would not.
I am a breast cancer survivor. I like pink. I would support a different breast cancer charity jersey. Never again Komen. That ship has sailed.
While I deeply appreciate and have benefitted from how well breast cancer is funded, it is difficult to support Komen and Pinktober. It is actually painful being confronted with all of the crap,...
I third the Lara Bar suggestion. So many of them are vegan, so that takes care of the dairy part.
Also: You Bars http://www.youbars.com/ are excellent but pricey.
I've also done a mix of goji...
This.
(But I finally got PRK at it was so worth it.)
Ya! Just sautee onions, garlic, and toss in the tomatoes. I often toss in cashews and spinach, too. For a "cheesy" sort of sauce I add nutritional yeast and a bit of oat milk or soy milk (or whatever...
I don't know about group rides from that area and it is a bit early for me, but one ride you can do by yourself is to ride along the harbor north to Point Loma, get on Rosecrans and head toward...
Yes. I had a bunch to give them after PRK and I labelled them with the prescription, which was a good idea, I thought.
I had weight gain from Tamoxifen and am now getting it off. It's slow going. But, I am in this trial http://energytrial.ucsd.edu/ which is definitely helping. So, I feel like I am having little to no...
I am part of this sisterhood. Itchy. I flip up the grippers as well. I also have a latex allergy. My theory is that the silicon has latex in it. I don't know this, but I do know that I react to it.
Hi!
Just wanted to say that I am not ignoring the thread, I just don't have any recommendations either; with our weather I have never seen the need to scope out a spin class.
If you are at the...
You're doing this right!
