OK. I am up. I am in the process of caffinating. I am going to a staff meeting, which is a 12 x/yr process of not losing my temper. One of my colleagues once said that midwives are not supposed to work in groups. It's true. We're rugged individualists who make decisions, give orders, and take the brunt of it if things don't go well. Put us in a group and ask us to make decisions together? Difficult at times. I respect (all) and like (most) of my colleagues, but...here we go!

Good luck at the meeting! Just think of us here on TD and that'll give you a giggle when the meeting gets bad.

Survived work today. The aide grabbed one of the therapists a few times and once dragged her back to the quiet room where she could complain in private, but the therapist came out quickly. Either it was a short complaint or the t'pist cut it off.

The meeting is tomorrow. We'll see. Hey, Starbucks is hiring....:D

The meeting was predictably irritating. We have one colleague who would be a good case study for betagirl in her PsyD. program. Did I say I respect "all" of my colleagues? I lied. I just deleted a paragraph of whining here. Suffice it to say I came home and made chocolate chip cookie dough and ate a few spoonfuls. Now feel sick to stomach...:o

He released it two miles away. It's old enough to be on its own. Got into the house through the dog door. They had four boxers who fortunately didn't kill it. Poor baby! Armadillos always have four babies in a litter, and they are always all the same sex, because they develop from one egg. It's still pinkish!

I'm procrastinating again by reading up on your drifting. This thesis writing stuff is hard!

But I have been unofficially told that I get an interview for this job that I really really want! Yay! I could be out doing proper ecology again in just a few weeks! Fingers crossed!

Baby Armadillo kind of reminds me of what Buttercup does when I pick her up. Koko hangs out of his shell and lets me pet him all over his head and neck and front legs.
