Love the red Sidis. :)
And how do we do that? Are you accepting pre-orders?
Trying to keep the whine level low.:p
Oh, those shoes are stunning!
We got the prototype from Italy this week. Absolutely beautiful!
I wish someone made custom fit shoes. I could care less about the color, but I'd love to have something that is both wide enough for my toes and narrow enough for my heels.
I'll take my Sidi shoes to a shoe repair shop and see if I can get them stretched, but I'm not holding my breath.
I'm so glad that y'all like your red Sidis...because then I get to buy your formerly-loved black ones from you for good price. You know who you are--thanks!!
(I'm definitely a black shoe and black shorts person)
The shoes are pretty, but I had to stop wearing the red Sidis I already had. My regular shoe size is 36-36.5 and even wearing the 38s in Sidis, I was having issues, pain, hot spots. Since Sidi is the only brand I have ever worn, I was shocked when I switched to Shimanos. The wide toe box and the custom fitting system for the road shoes was superb. I did have to change out the inner soles for thinner ones, as my feet seem to be super sensitive to even a millimeter of extra padding. The mountain shoes I got for my other bike are just as nice.
I would buy the socks, though.
What about these guys?: http://www.bont.com/cycling/items/support/custom.html
We could arrange that, yes. I need to get a style number designation from Sidi before we can create the units in our accounting system. But once that's complete, yes, we can do pre-orders.
We are only building 100 pairs the first go-around, so these will be some very exclusive shoes, Imelda!
Sidi makes the Ergo and the Dragon with adjustable heels. Both are men's shoes (a medium width men's is the same as a wide width women's: basically a D width). The heels have an adjustment mechanism that allows you to narrow them down to hug your feet better.
They don't make them in women's, so we don't carry them. But since it sounds like women's are too narrow for you anyway, a men's with an adjustable heel might be just the ticket for you!
