I was wondering where you got milkshakes. I had to settle for beer (carb-replenishment).
Hey Deanna - great seeing you ever so briefly on Whittaker Bluff or whatever that hill I hate is called! I wish I could have (1) actually hung with you on the steep part - how do you do that w/a double?? :p and (2) chatted a bit more. Had to catch Mike as this was our one and only real "ride" together for some time!
It was good to see you too and I was quite surprised to hear my name called out on that climb. I have a compact double, otherwise FORGET IT. It's difficult for me to chat when my lungs are about to pop out. Too bad the routes diverged so soon after that.
LOL - oh thats lucky if it was a plain double I might have had to add you to my "We dont like her" list.:D
Actually though you would be in pretty good company on that list with MP, SK, V, and lately ubber strong Jobob had to be added. Kim denies being strong but after riding with her again she has been added:p . I also noticed Leebob was being a little too sprightly on the flats and if he keeps that up I may have to add him too. Its just as well Im going back to Aust soon because Im running out of people in Norcal to like.:D HEE HEE!!
Wow!!! What amazing stud and stud-ettes you all are!
Well done Dr. Badger and friends on your first century!
And well done to the metric crowd for fighting the winds like that!
Reading about those hills and headwinds, all I can say is    you guys rock scientists!
I woke up Saturday morning with so much darned tail bone pain, and I decided that if it hurt that much having ridden only 3 flat saddle-adjustment miles the day before, the situation was not likely to improve on a more challenging 30-mile ride :( . I was so bummed about it that we just ended up going home, and therefore I wasn't there to cheer you all in after your triumphant rides. But I was thinking of you guys all day, and checking my watch and thinking things like "well, the metric guys must be about done now".
I'm glad at least some of you would ride it again, because I do want to ride it next year :o
And when I'm back from vacation late next week, I'll be making a visit to my doctor to see what the heck is going on with the tail bone and ankle situation.
Hee hee and here I was thinking that you wanted to stay on my friend list. Hmm seeing your Seven might have had me add you to the 'We dont like her list'.:D
Seriously though mate we figured you might have decided to give the ride a miss with the pain situation and we were glad for you. That ride in those conditions was not one you would have wanted to do in pain. I think you were very smart to listen to your body and give it a miss. Im sure you will have plenty of people to ride with next year. Cyclists are like mothers we forget the pain after awhile.:D
Hey Ann-
I was sorry to hear that your tailbone was giving you so much trouble such that you couldn't ride. But I am glad that you are going to get it looked at. Maybe they have one of those funny dougnut pillow things for you to put on your bike seat :D  :D
Even if you can't ride, I hope you can still come hang out with us on Sept 2!
E.
Oh, I'll be there on Sept 2!
And here I thought I couldn't possibly look any dorkier on a bike! :pQuote:
