ok, so it's not a big milestone, but i really pushed myself and i got up past my marker and went another 20 ft. it was a proud moment,b/c it means my work is paying off. i can't wait to keep getting better.

Great! It sounds like it is a big milestone to you, so don't knock it!
I know just what you mean. I love those moments when it just seems to come together - I can do it, I can do it... I DID IT! :D
oh, this is very good. Keep working at it. soon you will get to the top!
congrats, keep working.
AWESOME! Keep up the good work. :)
I'm excited for you!! I know how happy it makes me feel when I do better than the last time. Celebrate every accomplishment!! It will keep you excited about riding. Way to go!!
thanks for the encouragement. it is very exciting. too bad winter is right around the corner. I'll Probably be fit by winter. but i have my trainer and i can do it when bored in the house.
Well done - every little bit counts you know! :)
GOOD GOING COLLEEN :) !!!
Your hard work IS paying off -- increments of 20 feet - that's awesome!!
Keep at it, my friend!
Peace & Love,
Denise
There you go. :)
Very happy for you. You gonna celebrate?
Well, I think an extra 20 feet is pretty neat. That's 20 more feet of a good downhill :D <-- imagine bugs there.
I'll bet I couldn't go up that hill -- not any big hills around here so I'm sure I have NO hill ability! Way to go, girl!
umm. yeah i rewarded myself with a cookie. :(.. but i need to eat more since i'mburing more calories, right?LOL
Whoo hoo!!! congratulations :D :D :D 20 ft on a hill can be alot!
I have one hill I ride up on every once in awhile. I always had to stop at a certain spot, get my breath and strength back before I could make it to the top.
It was miserable BUT was the hill that I learned the most on, it taught me how to shift and pace myself. Finally one day I made it all the way up!
Keep up the good work :D
Yeah, it IS a big milestone, in fact! Every improvement is a milestone.Quote:

Well done Colleen - most excellent
i am so proud of myself today. it had been raining all week, so i got on my trainer and rode while i watched a video, today i finally got out. i got about 60 ft past the original point. i was so thrilled. i love seeing the progress. i honestly did not think i would, b/x when i have gone to the gym, i never saw much progress. now if only i could have some toned legs, i'd be all set.
Keep on spinning your...self up that hill and I'll bet you'll get some toned legs, sure enough.:)
You are doing so well and your legs are working on getting toned, give them time. :)
That's wonderful!!
I'm just starting to work on hills in some organized fashion. They are tough and I think you're going to be one heck of a rider when you get off those hills. You're doing the hard part first. :)
thanks. i really have no choice living in the mountains. you either go up, or down. some of those downhill rides are scary!
It's not going down hill that scares me. I like going down them. :)
It's getting up the darn things that I find frightening. :p
