What a great bunch of women to have in my life.
Had a great ride on my birthday too, and got nothing from my kids and partner that wasn't bike-related.
Even got "the female cyclist"

Happy belated birthday to Road Raven -- hope someone in your family picked up your oh-so-subtle hints about the ladies' bib shorts! If so, which ones did you get? If not, those magazines you keep lying around open are going to get awfully dusty between now & the holidays!

I bet she slept in today. She was volunteering at the Knoxville Double yesterday. The last riders got in at 2:30 this morning. Man I gotta pay more attention to birthdays, 'cause I could have given her some ribbing yesterday... oh well. Have a happy day Kim!

Thank you, ladies. I think I'd like to ignore all my birthdays until about 2020, or maybe 2030, at which point I hope to have finally grown up, achieved wisdom, style, etc.
Re Knoxville - thank the gods that I didn't have to work all night! I was at ride HQ at 7:30 am and was dreading working past midnight for a 16+ hour day. We had great dinner volunteers, and after dinner setup I was able to go home at 7pm. Last riders came in at 2:30 am(!!!) and I'm realllly glad I wasn't there:p:p.

After a touch of old lady insomnia last night, I celebrated my b-day by going back to bed and snoozing with the Superb Poodle. It's going to be one fine day.

Yeah, my knees were actually starting to slim down until last night's trip chocolate mousse.
Calories do not count after 80 hilly miles nor the weekend of your birthday, so in this case you have a double chocolate mousse credit.
