Congrats on your milestone post Slinke! isn't there a martini or something that goes with a milestone like this??
I'd take a margarita, for sure! :) But a martini would work, too.
Oy, that Krebs map link opened up right on Tunitas Creek Road, my bête noire circa Labor Day Weekend 2005, where V. had to come back and rescue me... oh the shame ... :o

Hey Brandi... did you get my email with the photo for the avatar? Looking forward to having one so SOME PEOPLE will stop hounding me about it. :D
Yeah, call me uncivilized, but I do not have photoshop. My sister does. Maybe that's the answer for me. :oQuote:

Hey Slinke - Nice Avatar! :D
It told me the file didn't upload so I didn't think it worked! Thanks to Adventure Girl for formatting it for me! That's me and my littlest one, Mallory!

It's surely because Krebs maps are incredibly useful and helpful items.... if they make them for your area or an area you'll be riding, that is. They let me know what I can't do. It's a good thing, trust me. *Preparing for the blasting from SK and AG and everyone else!! :)*Quote:

That's so funny! My daughter is taking biology right now and she was talking about the Krebs cycle the other day. Totally escaped me until right now!! :) But I'm not queen of microbiology, lest anyone wonder. It's the maps that I'm mad for. :)
Gee slinke, she looks awfully young to be studying microbiology ...
:D
Hey, Congrats on your milestone Slinkedog! I'm tryin' to catch up ;)
Trac'
Har, har! :p Not THAT one!Quote:

At some point in nursing school, I think we had to memorize every step in the "complicated series of reactions". It was just as quickly erased from memory! It all relates to biking, though. Our tiny little mitochondria in the cells take our Kashi Heart to Heart cereal with walnuts and almonds, strawberries and soy milk (in my case), and turn it into power on our new Bianchi Veloche bikes (again, in my case), to ride! Ride! Ride! :D All via the Kreb's cycle.
Now I get to learn about the maps. Are they for trail riding?

Here's the link to Krebs Cycling Products, makers of the Krebs Maps, which slinke swears by (literally and figuratively, I'll bet ...)
http://www.krebscycleproducts.com/
They make road maps and mountain bike trail maps. They're really great maps for cycling.
"Krebs Cycle Products produces detailed and concise bicycling guide maps covering much of Northern California. Our maps are originals, made just for cycling. They are carefully drawn to exacting detail and printed in beautiful colors. The extensive information on traffic, hills, bicycle trails, suggested routes, services and points of interest is not found in any other map or book."
But, unfortunately for the rest of the country, the maps cover only Northern CA.
Wow. That sounds incredible. Too bad it's only for N. CA. Thanks for the explanation! L.Quote:
