You think they'll do a raffle again this year?
Oh i want some! That is not fair! We should all write them and tell them they should make more for sale. But I have brand new stem and seat post from them so it would be a while till I could buy them. Maybe when i am ready to get new one's they will be avaiable?
Speedgoat is who built my mountain bike. They are EXCELLENT!!! So helpful with about a billion questions and decisions.

Genuine George built Bubba's cyclocross wheels. Bombproof so far.
Showed them to my husband and he *claims* you can take the silver ones and get them anodized.. I suppose you would have to find an anodizing plant, but he says "yeah, it can be done"... Hmmmm......
But will they still fit then?

They are! Tomorrow's the drawing.

The drawing is this Thursday (tomorrow!), July 20th, 2006. ALL of the proceeds from this raffle are going to the Breast Cancer Fund.
Just bought a raffle ticket - it looks like a very lucky number to me!
The bike doesn't have to be pink, does it?
Just bought mine. I will win. I will win. I will win.:D
Thanks for the heads up! I bought a ticket as well. :-)
Cindysue will smash.
When I first posted the raffle here (somewhere, where? ) she did the dreaded and highly effective "pick me pick me me me"
Don't tell my bike that I looked at another bike ;-)
BTW, anyone know how her shoulder's doing?
I bought one too!:p What a gorgeous bike! :D
That's what I said. How many people would want a pink bike? (Well, obviously some on this board might, but not everyone). If you removed the pink bar tape and pink saddle it wouldn't look too bad. At least the anodized aluminum is a dull pink.Quote:

I wouldn't buy a pink bike, but when I win that one tomorrow I'll ride it with pride!
I am not very lucky, but it is a worthy cause. Throwing my name in the hat because that is one sweet bike!
Sorry. I already have all the pink accessories, so I think the bike is mine. I bought 2 tickets to make sure!
Ok you gals... I've gone back to Speed Goat, but can't find anything on their page about the raffle... I'm sure my name is on there somewhere!;) Any clues as to how to navigate??
Looks like they closed the raffle site. They are probably looking for a hat. Wouldn't it be cool if a TE gal won? I already have a pink ('ish) bike so....
From their site:
AMAZING DAY
Two days ago I wasn't sure if we'd hit our goal of $20,000 or not. I decided that I'd be happy with whatever we raised. Well, I closed the ticket purchase pages this morning, and was surprised and elated at the amount of money we've raised for Breast Cancer Fund. The final total was $21,600... or 2,160 tickets. In fact, customers and friends of Speedgoat bought 265 tickets on the last full day of sales, yesterday, Wednesday July 19th.
Some other stats? Sure.
The 2160 tickets were purchased by 808 people. That averages to 2.56 tickets per person. Californians purchased more tickets than residents of any other state, with 170 Golden Staters buying 503 tickets. Second place could be Virginia or Pennsylvania, depending on whether you count tickets or purchasers. 46 Virginians bought 176 tickets, and 131 tickets were purchased by 58 people in Pennsylvania. Fifty four US states and Canadian provinces are represented (I haven't checked to see which ones aren't), and 189 tickets were sold to 88 people living outside of the US or Canada.
Well, it's time to start printing out the raffle tickets and getting ready for the drawing. Keep checking the website, we'll post the winner this afternoon.
Woohoo Virginia!:D
WooHoo TE :D
They have posted the winner. It was from Texas, but not me. Que sera sera. It is a great idea and cause. I would buy again next year!
I am happy for the winner. I would like it to have been me, but I donated to a very worthy cause, so it was well worth it. :)
The person who won is a guy--I hope he keeps it pink!
And they're doing the raffle again
