W00T! It's past 6 pm here, so I can start drinking beer!
Lyra is usually not allowed on the counter when there's food there, but like a sensible cat took full advantage of the situation as soon as I was occupied with the camera.
A toast to my TE friends, most of whom I've never met. I feel like I have this huge network of smart, funny, friendly women all around the world that I can ask about almost anything. A special toast to those of you who have been in hospital or who have family in hospital. We're thinking of you tonight.
This is one holiday I could gladly adopt. A happy Thanksgiving to all!
-Laila
Here are to all the women who give me strength and support! You all rule the world! Cheers.
Here you see me with my Kilt lifter beer. I am BBqing a turkey today and relaxing and loving life!
I wish a very happy Thanksgiving to all of our American members, and I am very thankful for all of the women in this forum. I probably won't ever meet most of you in person but that is ok, we have certainly come to learn a lot about each other and the supportive atmosphere here is great.
This is my post dinner and post ride beer, a lovely Porter (Upland's Bad Elmer's Porter). Nice fire (even if it is popping a bit), good beer, good music as I relax with a good book. I had dinner with some friends today and they helped me make a good start on my growler of fresh and local Porter :)
A Thanksgiving toast to all my TE friends. It's my last Samuel Adams Octoberfest in my New Glarus Spotted Cow glass. I can pretend I'm drinking Wisconsin beer;)
We are celebrating the holiday tomorrow and I am cooking this evening. What a perfect time to take a break and thank all the ladies who have taught me so much and given me so much support over the years. I am very blessed. Thank you.
I'm not taking a picture since I've been in my rattiest sweats and a t-shirt since running this morning, but I'm raising a glass (err, coffee mug) of Great Divide Oak-Aged Yeti to you all!
I'm too tired to take a picture and today's not a beer day for me anyway. But I'll raise my glass of Valley Vineyards Ohio sparkling wine to you - will get the photo of me with my glass and dinner plate from DH before the weekend's out - and tomorrow I'll toast you in Great Lakes Blackout Stout. :)

Cheers! On my way to work with my Peppermint Mocha :)
Have to post a pic without beer in it, but I raised my favorite Shipyard Pumpkin Ale to all of you earlier.
Like others, I am truly thankful for this community of women, most of whom I will never meet in person. I know I can come here, and be me. Thanks to all of you for the support, the advice, and the friendship!
SheFly (and DH - this was on Weds on our traditional day-before-Thanksgiving-hike. This year, it was in a foot of new fallen snow!)

Cheers!!! DH took the photo of me with Raven and McKinley. The dogs are enjoying a turkey dinner while I have a Miller Light.

I love all the pictures.

I tried a self-photo in the bathroom mirror. I should have had my friends take a picture when I was at their house for dinner but I forgot. This is my fresh off the bike with what remained of the growler I took to share at my friends house. There was just enough to fill the glass in my fireplace shot. I DID wait until after I got cleaned up before I actually poured my official TE toast beer ;)
I was at the in-laws house until late last night- so no drinking for me (they are strict Baptists that do not allow alcohol). So tonight I will raise my glass to all of you- from the hot tub in the backyard...:D
Catrin, that is one AWESOME jug of beer!
Love seeing you all :)
I really liked your picture, apparently Norwegian cats have a taste for beer :)
We have several great local breweries and once you purchase the jug (this one is a growler, 62 ounces) it doesn't cost very much to have it filled. For personal use I've a "half-growler" which is 32 ounces. I only get the big one filled for sharing :) I am of the opinion that good beer is meant to be shared whenever possible.
OK, there is no beer in this picture, although DS did bring some beer to our dinner. I will have a taste of that tomorrow.
So, here's a picture of our Thanksgiving table, before we started devouring the food. As you can see, there is a bottle of wine, which was the second of 3 that we had. The pic includes DH, DS, and DIL, and our best cycling/skiing/hiking/eating friends, along with her mom.
Love all the picture's! Keep it going ladies we have all weekend to add more fun and photo's!
This is neither here nor there, but on my commute home I was listening to this song, which is an old favourite, and I suddenly thought, hey this thread needs music:

Now, that's a God I can like :D
May the sun always shine on your rides and the wind be at your back! Ride on all of my wonderful TE'rs and cheers to all of you!
Fabulous weather in Michigan today, 60's, sunny and that means riding and chugging down a cold one from a Michigan brewery. I visited a this brewery month ago and brought a few home for an occasion. This seemed to be a perfect occasion to share with all of you. Photos of ride and post ride toast.
Turkey stock is made and strained, half in the freezer and half to make soup tomorrow. Vegetable stock from the scraps collecting in the freezer, ditto. Delicates are in the washer and the house will be smelling like wet sheep shortly. It's time for beer! Cheers to all my TE sisters.
I posted this in the other thread last night, but it was huge, so I've since fixed it.
Cheers to the entire TE community! Hopefully everyone had a wonderful holiday (whether you celebrate it or not!). We did!
This is Susan and Catherine (me) after the feast but before we dug into the many pies...

Sorry that we had to toast with wine, but that was what was on our menu for the day!
Cheers friends!!!!

I'm running late, but I got my toast in. Cheers, ladies!

Cheers from Mr Aggie and me! I have found so much fun, camaraderie and great advice from this site!

We raised a bottle of Austin Microbrewery Independence Brewery's Convict Hill Oatmeal Stout.

Love the photos and all the different brews! Good job ladies (and gents). I saw a Great Lakes Brewing label in one of the photos and how clever to have real toast with the toast.
Christmas shopping in the a.m. bike ride in the afternoon, quick beer, dinner, off to buy wraps and trims, put up tree and the lights on. I'm pooped and the decorating will have to wait till tomorrow - there's beer to drink right now!
I'm far more into wines than beers but I've been know to put away a few in my time and today was a beer day.
Yes that is a framed collage of wine labels behind me and yes that is a small wine fridge in the corner. And that is a photo of Round Barn Winery, Brewery and Distillery when my sister and I were there in October.
This is really cool! Creative too! Love seeing the smiling faces! And it doesn't matter what you are drinking. It's taking time to toast a great group of people! Awww heck I am going to have another one honor of all of you. Twist my arm now!
cheers again.
Loving all of the pictures and great toasts! Aggie - I love a good Oatmeal Stout, love the name of yours :) Who makes it?
It is a local place called Independence Brewing, unfortunately I think you have to come to Texas to get it. It was a very good stout but I had never had it before.
Convict Hill is actually a large hill in South Austin near the brewery. The hill is now home to a large residential community but back when the Texas State Capital was built it housed a limestone quarry which was mined for limestone used in the basement. The area was so far out of Austin proper then and labor so expensive they used convicts to work the quarry and thus the name was born. :)
I am late finding this thread and I'm actually at work..so cant' send picture or toast. But did enjoy some beers last night picking up my packet for my "beer run" tonight.
I saw Bike Chick mentioned Spotted Cow--OMG we love that beer. We brought some back after visiting our friends in Wisconsin, you can't get that beer here in FL!
Hope to post picture and toast to TE ladies after my 5K run for beer!

I'm not usually a stout person, more of an IPA person, but this was a bottle of 2010 commemorative Mammoth Brewing Co Imperial Stout we've had for a bit and it was delicious!
DD took the pic.

I <3 Imperial Stout. Old Rasputin is my fav. I have a 5 pack (I drank part of one) of Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale I should give to you. I'm not an IPA fan...which it is. Oops. :p No pix of me grimacing, will try something else later today.
Oooh! Mammoth Brewing Co. Good, good beer there.
Last night I enjoyed some Pure Hoppiness by Alpine Brewing Co (local San Diego). It was very yum and I forgot to commemorate the event with a photo. I then enjoyed a cider. :) Cheers!
PS: Reesha! Love your kittycat!
