The live stream is really well done (so long as it lasts). Pros are out of the water and on the bike - Chrissie Wellington is back further than usual (maybe her crash). Go Chrissis, go!
I think Troy Jacobson is also racing today....

YES!!! My close friend Sarah is racing Kona for the first time. I'm glued to her splits as they come in. SOOO exciting!!! I LOVE Kona day!! :)
And yes, I'm still in my pajamas- and probably will be all day.
One of my teamies is out there. She's very, very good, but so modest about it -I'm pretty sure she won her age division at Boise! I checked, but didn't see any times for her yet...
update - she just finished the swim
My super amazing coworker is out there. I'm completely glued to the tracking! She just won her age group at the Vegas 70.3 and is such an inspiring person and amazing athlete.
I'm watching, too, online. I keep thinking, four hours on the bike...I could do that. That run, that doesn't really look so hard. I could do that.
Heh.

Has anyone tested Chrissie Wellington for alien DNA?
I'm watching Badmann too - hope she has a great race - she has certainly earned it.
I'm wondering what the minimum time to train for an ironman is - a year? or more. It's fun to dream....
I'm wondering when we'll be watching and cheering V :) Will that be on "How Hard Can it Be IV"?
V as in Veronica?
Did Craig Alexander just set a new world record by 4/10s of a second? If I heard right, the old record was 8:08:04 and he came across today in 8:08:03.56 or something like that.

I think I heard it was 12 seconds, but I'm not positive....
I hope Mirinda catches Chrissie....3 minutes down, not going to happen...
We'll root for you no matter the distance, Veronica.
That was an amazing finish. I'd love to hear what Mirinda has to say. She came across a lot stronger than Chrissie at the end there, but Chrissie's endurance was amazing.
I'm still watching. I'm enjoying hearing where all these people are from, the everyday champions. Two men from San Diego have crossed in the last minute. I wonder if DH knows them.

Badmann finished 14th of the women, which I think is awesome!
Troy finished at his goal (from his blog post).
I love watching the age groupers - particularly the late ones (but there isn't any way I'll make it up until 6AM Eastern).

Extraordinary people still crossing the line...white-haired man just came across and started jitterbugging all the women trying to put leis and towels on him. I'm loving the women coming through who look to be in their 50s-60s, too.
