Employed!
I just came back from my second meeting with MSPCC and got a verbal offer and a start date of June 20. The written offer will come after the CORI check.
I feel really good about this. They actually seem to care about their employees and that helped me decide to do an .8 position, about 30 hours a week/20 hours of client contact. They will start me out with the outreach clients, as you can bill for more than just the actual session because of a state mandate for these clients and I will add in a few clinic clients as time goes on. They also seem very agreeable to giving me clients nearest to where I live.
Now I can go to my group rides on Wednesdays, which I still haven't managed to do yet, in 2011.
Going to celebrate tonight at the Bike Party at Redbones, where DIL is the manager.

Nah, my bike (s) are perfectly OK.
But, after looking at touring bikes, we both decided that what we really want are custom steel road bikes with couplers... that will come next year.
I am happy to celebrate with ribs and beer, surrounded by cyclists, tonight.

Congratulations!! Enjoy your celebration - you've earned every bit of it.

The bike party was amazing. 1,000 people in the street. I am full of beer and pulled chicken. I didn't win any raffle items, but I caught a free water bottle. And I got hit in the head with a Luna Bar (they were throwing free stuff into the crowd). DS came after work, of course on his single speed, looking like all the other skinny young males in Somerville and DIL was looking very official in her manager role. It was a gorgeous night, too.

Congrats, Crankin!
Did you get one of the pink Wheelworks bottles at Redbones? I came home with one of those. Very excited about it. Probably too excited.
-
Congratulations! BBQ and beer, now that's a just reward for landing a new job!

C O N G R A T S!
This was the position you wanted (of the ones you interviewed for), right? Sounds great! I knew you'd get it.
Happy dance! :p :D
-
Emily, yes, this was the first position I interviewed for. I had another interview last week that I need to contact the woman about; I am sure they were going to offer me something, but they were offering less hours.
m. eliza, yea I caught one of the pink Wheelworks bottles. I really don't need it, since I was *finally* able to score some of the Camelbak insulated bottles during the winter and those are all I use. But, this one would be good for my errand rides or the gym (which I am going to actually join again, now that I have more income).
