Very cool! Can it collect international info?
Edited: Oh, duh! You just have to click on the "don't live in the US" link.
I like maps. :D
Neat idea - but it didn't like my zip code. :(
So I used Alameda's zip instead.
V.
Now we get to see who is close by! Wonder how many other North Carolinians there are out there...
Thanks, Adventure Girl!!!
sorry - I added myself twice.... can the owner remove me?
Great idea for those of us who are visual learners!
How fun! We should have this link on the homepage!
If you click on the satelite link you can zoom down into the city streets for each of us. I can see buildings in Switzerland! And the mountains and the river valleys and . . . and . . . and :D
I can see the roof of my house!! :eek:Quote:

Very neat indeed! Thanks AG!
Have you any of you guys mesed around with Google Earth? The Google earth satelite photo set (which is a different image set than what Frapper uses) is recent and very high-resolution for the Bay Area -- it shows our house, our solar panels, and my little white car parked out in front - it's actually a little creepy!
Hey CorsairMac, I just came to visit. :D
My name is on the list, but I don't see any map.......
Hey Robyn you are on it. I just visited you on the map. :)Quote:

That is so cool. I feel a little like a spy checking out where everyone is.
Humm Im thinking I could use this for my next cross country vacation Te riders in some very convenient places. :D :D
Dont get scared girls Im only joking not going to end up on your doorstep.
Hey - why not! I've hosted folks riding through who I met on crazyguyonabike.com. It was fun!Quote:

And
TE Admin -
loved your shout "Come see our retail store in 2007!". Are you trying to give us an excuse to visit Oregon?
Unfortunately, that's a few too many for my very small place. Let's see, 2 bedrooms, 6 people. Hmm... But you never know...Quote:

very cool! It didn't like my *new* zipcode either, but I think I see my car!! :)
Hey, Runnergirl, I was in your neighborhood (almost) today!!
Tried to zoom in on my place but it said no zoom imagery for this area. What??? Does that mean there is nothing worth spying on out here. :DQuote:

You can zoom down to the 4 bar from the top before you get that message.Quote:

Waaaaaah . . . I don't see a list or a map. I have a Mac; is that why?
Ah! Won't accept my entry-says Ottawa isn't on the map--only Montreal.......See me laughing--Yes! Montreal IS a lovely city-after all I was born and raised there....but--Ahem! OTTAWA--IS the capitol of Canada--and it doesn't Get a spot???
Your zoomability (is that a word  ) depends upon how detailed their images are of your particular location. Resolution of some areas are better than others.Quote:

JLD, that's too funny about it not recognising Ottawa. I can see the red dot that says Ottawa with my own eyes.
Alpine - you've just got two shoutouts, and I think we could all do as many of them as we wanted; there's only one of you on the map.
If I could've put in a British postcode, my marker would point to my street. Still, 6km away isn't half bad on the scale of London.
It didn't put the right picture on for me- it's not even me- it's registration at some bike event...I want to re-do it!
Nanci
So next time the satelite passes our houses, we need to go outside with our bikes and wave!!! Anyone know how often landsat takes pictures?
P.S. Can we map our commutes on this thing????
I couldn't get the link to work. Sorry. :(
