Check out my new bike!!!!!

A Bianchi Via Nirone 7 Dama Bianca. It was love at first sight:p

This is my first real road bike and I absolutely love it!!! I had to have a Celeste Bianchi since the first time I saw one. It has full Sora components and a compact double. I wanted a bike with at least 105 but, it was not offered in celeste and I knew I would not be happy in the long run. I do plan to upgrade parts as needed though.

Even though I own a Trek 520 touring bike (most road like bicycle I own), I had to have the guys show me how to shift and release the brakes before I left the LBS, when I took her home Saturday. This is all new to me. This bike actually fits me better than the Trek.

I can not believe how light and fast this bike is. I love going fast:D I took her to the local park this weekend to get the feel for shifting and basically "get to klnow my new bike". I have mountain clipless pedals on it as advised by my LBS. I already had shoes and since I plan to do a lot of centuries, he suggested mountain bike pedals for the walkability. I have not clipped in yet since i am just learning and wanted to get the feel for a new bike first.

I plan to use this bike on the Zoo-de-Mack in two weeks and do my first century this Fall.

Thanks everyone....I love the Celeste color...now if I can only find a matching helmet. I know Giro made one a few years ago (black and celeste) but, I can not find any celeste ones now.

I had a fitting when I picked the bike up Sat. and plan to just ride her as is for a while until I make any changes (if any). I did have some soreness but, I think it was mainly from not being on a bike all winter long. I have barely gotten out this season. Only a few times on the Trek, and that was just to experiment with clipless pedals.

Surprisingly, the stock saddle has not been too bad. Did 17 miles yesterday:). I only had to adjust the tilt of the saddle so far.

wow, I just noticed you're from Michigan...I didn't know those bikes were sold here, where did you get it? I still can't get over the looks of it, that is one gorgeous bike plus it looks fast just sitting still!

To answer all the questions...

It is a 53cm frame size. It does look small to me too. That was my first thought when I saw it. But is fits me perfectly:)

The saddle bag is an Axiom Road Journey ( that is what is says on the bag). Got it at Universal Cycles. It is the perfect size--not too big or too small.

I bought the bike in Hazel Park, MI at Continental Bike Shop. It is kind of far from me, but so worth the drive. You are right ..... Not many places sell Bianchi. They only special order them at Continental.

Gorgeous! The good news with Shimano is they trickle down their parts so today's Sora is really good. I started with Sora and loved the bike, never had issues with the drivetrain and did several centuries on that trusty steed. Have fun with the new baby!
