I wasn't able to access the forum for two days. Finally able to get back on tonight.
Hurrah! I didn't realized how addicted I was to this forum.
Deb
Glad were back up. I don't know what I would do without all of my cyberfriends. I was going through TE withdrawls not being able to see how you all were doing.
Happy New Year everyone and may you have a great year on the bike(s)!

Thanks, Team TE IT!! Sweet dreams. ;)
I've had several reports of people having trouble logging in, particularly firefox users. If you are continuing to have trouble logging in, PLEASE let me know.
Thanks!
Jeff
I couldn't log in since Friday...
I am not 100% computer savvy but whatever you needed to do to get TE back online worked! THank you computer folks @ TE :D
Ahhhh..
Thank you so much for your work on a holiday weekend! I have Firefox, but didn't have any problems prior to the forum meltdown.
Good work IT! Sure did miss the forum but I understand.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
No problems with Firefox here. (Mac OS 10.6.2)
Before the forums went down, I had to keep logging in on Firefox. I'm at work now, I'll test when I get home. Thanks for getting them back up!
Thank you thank you thank you from a happy TE Mac Safari user.
I'm so glad this is working again! It's the only way I can live vicariously through all the people who live in a climate suitable for biking, as mine is not at the moment! I'm having withdrawl- the last time the weather was suitable for biking here was Dec, 23rd, 23 degrees, but the roads were clear.
i use firefox and the quick reply option no longer works. it says "please click on the quick reply icon if you want to use this box" i can click on the regular reply box and it works fine though.
Mimi, I noticed that before the forums went down. If you click the button with the quill and paper on the lower right of someone's post it will activate the quick reply box.
It was confusing to me at first. I couldn't figure out how to type in the quick reply box, either!
ETA: I'm not using Firefox, so you could very wel lhave figured this out by now. :)
I am also using Firefox and note I still have to log in every time I come to the forum. This started happening last week. It's a real pain. I check the "remember me" box every time, hoping once it will work!
No apparent problems here - Firefox 3.5.6, windows XP. I'm staying logged in just fine.
I was out of town for the weekend and didnt notice
I am having to log in every time.... (firefox and XP)
For anyone having troubles remaining logged in while using Firefox, please try the following:
Delete your TE forum cookies (see screen shot below), close all open Firefox windows, reopen Firefox and login again.
Please report back if this worked for you, or not. Also include your version of Firefox and platform (PC/Mac/Linux). :)
Thanks!
Jeff
I am on PC (Vista). Just tried the delete cookie thing. I will let you know if there is a continuing issue. Thanks!
As of 7 am PST, I couldn't get in on either Mac Firefox or Safari. I'm okay (obviously) from my work PC on Firefox.
I have never been much of a forum contributor, but I check in numerous time throughout the day. Still, there are threads that don't interest me and don't want to read. It seems the ignore function is gone from the thread tools and I really miss it. Is this something that is gone for good? Please say "no".
When people started having troubles logging in, I removed all the third-party "plug-ins" (of which the Ignore Thread tool was one) as part of the debugging process. Once we get this login problem solved, I look into re-installing it.
As a 3rd party plug-in, it may not be 100% compatible with the current version of VBulletin...
I, too, was having trouble staying logged in before the forum went down. Now I'm not having any problems. Firefox 3.0.8 Mac OS X 10.4.11 (G4 PowerBook).
Thanks TE IT!
Deb
The cookie clearing thing seems to have fixed my issues. Thanks!
All is well for me too, thankyee kindly!
It's fine here (Vista with IE8) but at work I see a message dated Sunday that the forum is down for maintenance. We use XP with IE6 at work.
(I know, I know, the IE upgrades are free but for some reason they insist on forcing us to keep IE6.)
Thank you, Jeff!
No problems here. Firefox on Mac OS 10.4.11
Oh how I missed you, TE! I'm glad you're back!!!
Thanks for all the work you do, Jeff!!!
Everything's good at home with Firefox on Mac OS 10.5.8. Thanks Jeff.
