It's that time of year when I start counting my blessings. My life is pretty good and I'm very thankful about that. I have a great spouse who's totally supportive of me. My kitties are the best - really they are. :D I have the time (mostly) and the money to do the things I want to do. I have a job I enjoy and this year I have a wonderful class with REALLY pleasant kids.

The nice people who help me fix my bike, when I am lost at side of road.
My dearest BF who supports me in everything. My dear gal pal Sal who gave me encouragement in a very hard time. My partner, who is trying as hard as he can to be a good person.
Really.
Great boyfriend, steady permanent job, enough money to heat my house and eat whatever, whenever I want, medical insurance, and last but not least the crazy spotted pointer dog. I consider myself extremely fortunate. Yeah, I worked hard, but others have worked harder and had atrociously bad luck.
I'm thankful for the large majority of drivers around here who give me plenty of road room and wave back in answer to my wave.
I'm also thankful for TE and the forums!
I'm thankful that, in spite of everything this year, we still have a roof over our heads and our health.
My DH, who is incredibly supportive of me, and who takes really good care of our house, our cars, and our pets.
My pets, who love me unconditionally.
My job- I may be the only one in my group at the moment (due to attrition, not layoffs) and completely overloaded, but I'm still employed and have enough seniority to likely stay that way.
My health and fitness, and the fact that I have enough insurance and money to maintain both.
The things I am not grateful for are trivial and superficial compared to all the things I am profoundly grateful for.
We usually go around the table at Thanksgiving and say what we're thankful for, but this year I won't be with my family so I think I'll inflict this tradition on my hosts :)
I am forever thankful for my partner, he changed my life and has made me happier and more confident that I thought possible. I'm thankful for everyone in my family for being so wonderful and caring without the least bit of drama, I'm thankful for my crazy dog and that I've almost completed my education despite setbacks. I'm grateful for the information I learned that have put a new light on how lucky I am and make me appreciate it all more than once a year.
And I'm thankful I've had a very safe year without any huge injuries or illnesses.

2. Having the guts to quit a good job in a crummy economy.

I'm thankful for MaxBabe's love and support. I'm thankful that she doesn't give me a hard time about spending all my dollars on biking :rolleyes: I'm thankful that MitchMutt is still alive, and although a little arthritic, is generally in good health. I'm thankful I still have a job when hundreds in my company have lost theirs.

I'm thankful that I live where I do. I love waking up every morning to the trees and mountains
This is going to sound strange, but I'm thankful that my sister who had breast cancer is finally out of misery. I miss her terribly. But it was so heartrending to see her suffering in pain. I'm sure she's flying free, without pain, with a full head of the beautiful hair that she was so proud of before all of the chemo.
My family--hubby and daughter who put up w/ me
Supporting my college endeavors
My workplace(s) who support me w/ work and college-in my degree field- (History & Library science) so I can work and attend classes
All my friends- in real life and cyber friends :)
My pets--all of them-kitties and 1 dog
Decent cars to get me to A and B
The chance to visit France in January, always wanted to go, now I get to :)
Health and ability to enjoy riding and outdoor activities and fresh air :)

For me, I am soooo thankful for my health. As I call on doctor's offices every day, I see people in ill health, and for many it is devastating. I feel so incredibly blessed to be able to walk, have my health, and everything else is just gravy.

I'm thankful for everything. I know my life is better than most people could imagine, so I try to appreciate it.
I am most thankful for my husband of 30 years and my 2 sons.

Firstly, I am thankful for my DH. He is my best friend, fellow adventurer, coach, supporter, mechanic and enabler ;).
Secondly, I am thankful to my brother for leaving us with his beautiful daughter. She is a treasure beyond imagination.
Thirdly, I am thankful to still have my parents, who are both in good health, and are best friends. They have been my guideposts throughout life, and this year we have all leaned on one another for strength and comfort.
Additionally, I am thankful to still have my furry friend Oreo. Her health is rapidly declining, but I am truly thankful we made it through the weekend's crisis.
I am also thankful for all of my friends, far and wide. I am blessed to have so many good people in my life who share the good and the bad with me.
And, lastly, I am thankful for my bikes. They give me a chance to escape, fly free, and to truly test myself.

I am a strong, capable woman who can take on challenges and push myself to do things I never thought possible. Not a bad lesson to learn even if it took me 47 years to learn it.:)
Like so many others, I feel as though I have more to be thankful for than not.
But let me list a few:
Great family who have become wonderful friends and people whom I aspire to be.
Wonderful friends and that includes my four legged furry friends.
Wonderful customers who although the economy is one of the worst in Maine, supported the shop enough to almost double our sales from last year.
Lastly, a warm roof over my head, and enough food to not leave anyone hungry. :rolleyes:

I am extremely thankful every day for my family. My amazing DH of 29 years, our two grown children who warm my heart every day, and those two perfect grandchildren who light up even the darkest moment!:)
And I, too, am thankful for my recent discovery of Honeycrisp apples:D
I'm thankful my brother walked away unscathed from the below pictures. Fell asleep after returning from Hawaii:eek:
*sigh* It's been a tough year. I am very thankful mom finally found a job after 9 months. I am thankful for my close friends and my family, even though some of them drive me batty. I'm very thankful we got to go to Italy and meet up with my cousin, as well as visit the town my great-grandfather came from. Very rewarding to actually see where we're from. And I'm extra thankful I've stuck to my guns the last two years and worked extra hard to pay off my credit cards. Maybe it wasn't always convenient or easy or fun, but I know it will give me a better future.

I'm thankful for my health and strength; for my wonderful husband; for the amazing delicious food that comes from the sun, earth and rain, and for the family farmers and farmworkers who grow what I don't; for clean water, the birdies at my feeders, and all the wonderful plants that grow in the ground (okay, invasive species not so much).
