Whats on your Christmas list for yourself and others this year?
A job! LOL! I got laid off in July and haven't found anything since...
we just got it this week: a treadmill. Saved up for it and all (you know; like people used to do in the old days before credit). :)

I got my xmas present today. It was a North Face Venture rain jacket. I had a rain jacket for 10+ years, and I gave it away 2 years ago because I shrunk out of it. Since then, no hooded jacket that would keep me dry.
I got it today because I volunteered at a Girl Scout thing hosted by the store (they also host our bike club) and they gave me $20 store credit for volunteering. Had to strike while the iron was hot.
If money were no object, these are some things I would love to own:
A Nikon D90 digital SLR camera
The best GPS I can find, but I'll prolly get all I need in the Iphone next year.
Some cooking stuff. :)
This year we're having a low-key xmas.

DH and I aren't giving each other gifts since we just went to Seattle. I am keeping it small for everyone, probably baking a ton of cookies.

For other people...
I've been assembling the box I'm sending to DBF since July. He's getting a collection of random things that have meaning to us, plus a pair of hand-knit socks. He's so hard to buy for, since he's rather...picky and has expensive (but good) taste. So I go the silly route.
I have no idea what to get either of my parents... I think I'll make dinner a few nights while I'm at home. That should surprise them!
Oh! I had to make my list early, because my b-day is coming up too:
Cycle Ops rollers
Garmin 405 for run
the balance on my mixer (I have $250 saved for a Kitchenaid 600 mixer)
Breakfast in bed (I'm vegan, and DH doesn't understand how I eat at all...)
A clean bathroom (DH doesn't know how)
I happen to know there are rollers in DH's trunk, so I'm thinking the Garmin for Christmas?

A year ahead without all of the drama from this year. I wish for health, happiness, peace and joy for my family, and myself.

I hope my 16 year old dog(Lab mix), Kelly, will continue to hang in there, and our one cat, Patches(19) continues to be healthy. We just put a new roof on the house, so Christmas is going to be light. I would like a fleece vest, heart rate monitor and a hooded zip sweatshirt. If money was no object, a Dell Notebook, Garmin GPS(405), Nintendo DSi - I love electronics :-))))

A vacation.
We've been planning for a two week vacay in January but through an endless series of costly follies we've been unable to book-it. We've been telling DD for months now that we're going, I'd really hate to dissappoint her :( Poor girl has been in daycare for 52 weeks in a row. We all need a break.
I'm planning on a low-key Christmas. Mom's been out of work since last December, so I know their finances are stretched to the breaking point. Since I know dad will insist we have something to open, I'm going to ask for a large folding table, as I keep having to borrow theirs. I plan on giving out my homemade jams, breads, soaps, sauces and pastas. I wish I had money to give them, but I barely scrape by as it is.
I wish peace, health, and happiness to all of you. This year has had it's ups and downs for me, and I have a feeling next year will be worse while we deal with several elderly family members.
I'll be going to this store :p

(I was a bit disappointed though, all I could see was a grumpy woman.)
I really want a lovesac bean bag. That would be awesome for movie watching by the fire!

Earlier this year my DH's grandma died. She left her kids a nice bit of money. Before my MIL received her inheritance she had already told me that she'd like to buy me a bike. She and my hubby (and my late FIL) are big time into cycling and have been nosing me in that direction for years.
I also had my diamond reset. I lost significant weight about 5 years ago and have kept it off, so my wedding set hadn't fit right in years. I had been wearing an ugly and uncomfortable spacer to keep from losing it. Plus I didn't really care for the original setting and it was impossible to clean under the stone, so we had my diamond remounted.
Hubby and I are going on our first trip since our honeymoon for our anniversary (12/28/96) this year, too. I've never been to Vegas and DH wants to show me Death Valley, so that will be really nice in December when it's cold, snowy, and dreary here.
2009 is finishing on a really high note for me. Only fair since DH and I were both sick on New Year's Day with tonsil and sinus garbage.
Here's to a better 2010 for those who had a rough year.
Woo-hoo! Mom called today to say she got a job!:D It's through a placement agency, so she'll have to go through a 3 month probation period, but hey, that's 3 months of full-time pay that she wouldn't have been getting. I hope a) she's happy there, and b) they taker her on after the 3 months.

All my kitties (yound and old) to stay healthy (can't go thru the loss again).
I get a new job --and I actually enjoy or even semi enjoy going to work.
Stay healthy thru my training.
That my SO gets motivated on being active and shed a few of those unhealthy pounds so she feels better.
(and world peace, of course!...or at least people will start TRYING to be nice to each other)
On the materialist side...
New TV
Compression socks
Gift certificate at running store to go towards new shoes
That is really all I can think of unless I do the "pie in the sky dream list"--so that would be the winning lottery ticket!;)

I still remember the year I got my Malibu Skipper doll. That made me really happy.
