Happy Valentines Day!!!!
What ya get?
wow - I can't believe no one has posted yet. What'd I get? Well.....I haven't gotten everything yet....but so far:
I got home from work and there in the foyer was a beautiful arrangement of white roses and lots of purple flowers (forgive my ignorance of what they are!) - tiny ones like baby's breath and larger aster-types. Beautiful! And a balloon that says "Happy Valentine's Day". Soon-to-be-DH is making me dinner (his specialty - spaghetti, spinach salad and wine.....if there is any left by the time dinner is ready!)
And......to top it all off......1/4 of a brand new drivetrain for my bike!!! (the other 3/4 is his wedding present to me). Woooohoooooo.......SCORE! :D:D
Previous Valentine's Day experience...

I got gas.
I got a romantic card, Luna bars, Shot Blox and subscription to Triathlon Magazine Canada. Oooh and a bouquet of flowers when I got home. What a guy!!!:D:D
One of my students game be a live lobster and a bottle of wine. The lobster was part of his Social Studies presentation but his mom gave it to me for dinner tonight. Yum!!!
I took (and hopefully passed!) the nursing boards. Other than that a pretty uneventful Valentine's day.
Omigoodness. Dear old Raleighdon bought me over 100 dollars of chocolate.
He went into two different top scale chocolate shops and bought me bars and bars and nibs, and a chocolate heart, several brands, an embarrassment of riches.
and I got him peeps hearts and a small container of "cat cr@p" which keeps your lenses from fogging up in the cold.
(oh, and I just happened to finish a painting for him too)
I got sushi! And it was wonderful!
I gave homemade cookies with homemade truffle chocolate dribbled on top. As well as homemade peanut butter cookies with truffle chocolate on top. A homemade v-day card and the first fresisa that just bloomed in our yard!
After sushi we came home made a fire and watched a movie. It was really nice.
A dump truck backed into me and squashed the hood of my truck ...
But that meant that I just canceled my appointments and took Thursday off instead of Friday, so I got to spend the afternoon with my DH. We went to look at a new house, 15 miles closer to work. It would require us selling our current house, and having 20 percent down payment in this crazy financial environment, so I don' t know if that would happen. But it was pretty! It's nice to daydream.
My dh and son brought me to the mall so that I could buy some anti wrinkle cream. I've been out for awhile and I hate to shop so I needed the push...I guess. Ha, ha...what funny guys!
Tonight they are taking me to a restaurant. Well, it's not really new, we just haven't been there to dine before today.
Cyclasutra, looking on the bright side! nice!
sorry about your car
My husband got me a pajama gram! I LOVE flannel pjs and he had some sent. I didn't get him anything because I thought we were not doing anything- oops! :o
DH had to go out of town for some family business and his uncle's birthday party. I was supposed to go with him before I got sick. So he placed the order late, but he was still disappointed that my present didn't show up until today...
TWO dozen sustainably grown red roses :):):) We've been together since 1994 and this is the first time he's EVER got me flowers!
Hubby offered to take me out for sushi, but by the time he got home, we both decided to eat in town. :oQuote:

Oh my goodness!! That's the kind of thing that happens to ME! What on earth?? Glad you are ok.Quote:

Hubby brought me bedside coffee and a card. I know, it's a post-Valentine celebration. He also got me a Terry wrapper skort. :)
We went out to a very romantic restaurant that is an old cottage from the 1700s. It is only about 3 miles from my house, but we only go there for celebrations (like when we finished the century!). They had a fixed price dinner and all of the selections were great. However, I had 2 glasses of champagne and then I had to get up at 5 for my first day at work as a long term sub.
I am so tired I could faint, but I am going to ride the trainer.
