OK I got a little carried away. I guess it's my favorite Christmas song...
Not much of a Charlie Brown guy, but Elvis rocks at Christmas!
Peter, Paul & May's - A Holiday Celebration
I love Jimmy Buffet's Christmas CD. An Island Christmas or something like that.
I also love the Barenaked Ladies' holiday CD.
Karen
Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas Eve and other stories is my favorite:)
I also love JB's Christmas CD.
CA
Those $5 cds Target does every year, the country ones. (I've never bought the rock ones.)
Rockapella - Christmas (they're great in concert BTW)
New Heron Consort - A Celtic Christmas
Maggie Sansone - Sounds of the Season I & II
Definitely not this guy.
Brian Setzer - Dig That Crazy Christmas
Christmas with Gene Autry is my favorite for nostalgia.
V.
Barenaked Ladies - Barenaked for the Holidays. It's FANTASTIC!!
We also love Charlie Brown - and John Denver & the Muppets Christmas album.
I don't have a fave CD - but this is my fave Christmas song...
The Pogues and Kirsty McColl (what a great voice she had)
It was christmas eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me, wont see another one
And then he sang a song
The rare old mountain dew
I turned my face away
And dreamed about you
4 more priceless verses...
You're a bum
You're a punk
You're an old sl*t on junk
Lying there almost dead on a drip in that bed
You scumbag, you maggot
You cheap lousy faggot
Happy Christmas your arse
I pray God its our last
I could have been someone
Well so could anyone
You took my dreams from me
When I first found you
I kept them with me babe
I put them with my own
Cant make it all alone
Ive built my dreams around you
That one always makes me cry. Right up there with "Don't Hit Your Granny with a Great Big Stick"
Jane Siberry's double cd "Child"
I pull it out at other times of the year when I need soothing.
I love that CD. It's hilarious. I have a not-so-secret crush on Steven Page. I also REALLY love the Sufjan Stevens boxed set. Some of his interpretations of different Christmas Carols are so beautiful they make me cry. My husband has been listening the Booker T. & the M.G.s Christmas album, I'm starting to love it too.
I'll have to check out Barenaked Ladies. My favorite is off of Aligator Stomp Cajun Christmas, Please Come Home for Christmas. It's the second song here (at about minute 2:30):

I used to crush on Steven Page, but ever since the bathroom sessions, I'm all about Ed.

I just don't know though--I love men who make me laugh--it's so hard to choose!
We just put in our names for the lottery on who gets to play Guitar Hero with Ed or Wine Tasting with Steve on the Ships and Dip cruise next month (and Trivia and Grilled Cheese with Kevin). Crossing my fingers I get in to at least one--it's limited seating because of the venues on the ship.
Oooh, I can't wait!

A Very Special Christmas #3 - specifically, song #7 - Christmas by Blues Traveler...that song has passion and energy!
Harmony: The Christmas Songs by The Nylons - I love acapella!
I'm fond of 5 Chinese Brothers, A Window Shopper's Christmas

How can a grinch like me not love a christmas album with a pawn shop on the cover - with guitars and amps in the window?
Not a happy, bubbly, sugar-sweet CD, but funny and sincere. ...and it tells the story of the Department Store Santa Clause Strike.
My favorite cd's are Perry Como and Bing Crosby's but favorite songs:
Robert Earl Keen's "Merry Christmas from the Family"
and
Patsy & Elmo's "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer"
I think I have to look for Bare-naked Ladies - we have 2 of their albums... is this them doing traditional Chirstmas songs... or is it songs they have created themselves for this CD?
I think they wrote or re-arranged them all. "Naughty or nice, just consider the price to an Elf!" Sounds like an Ed song, doesn't it?
It seems like last year when they were in a parade on TV the song from the album they were singing was traditional (Jingle Bell Rock or something), but my son has monopolized the disk ever since we got it. He listens to it all year round.

My parents always used to listen to Mannheim Steamroller's Fresh Aire Christmas, so I guess I imprinted on it as a child. A bit of a guilty pleasure... :p
There are about 4 songs on this album that I absolutely cannot stand, but the more classical/choral pieces are exquisite.
I've, um, never actually seen the Charlie Brown christmas thing. :o
I have all of my grandfather's Christmas LPs, vinyl of course.
Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas is considered a classic jazz recording.
My favorite song is the one from Charlie Brown Xmas, but my favorite cartoon is How the Grinch stole xmas. (NOT the Jim Carey version, the original version.) I also listen to this cd that is songs that are only instrumental and then have nature sounds also. No lyrics at all. And it is so peaceful and relaxing-reminds me of spa music.
I LOVE Mariah Carey's Merry Christmas, especially "All I Want For Christmas is You". Love it.
I don't have an ultimate christmas CD BUT if i were to create my own here are the songs that i'd include:
Run, Run Rudolph-Bryan Adams
Reggae Christmas-Bryan Adams
Little Drummer boy-David Bowie/Bing Crosby
So this is christmas/war is over-John Lennon
Power of love-Frankie goes to hollywood (video is better...the only one they made that wasn't banned!!!)
Thank god it's christmas-Queen
Do they know it's christmas-band aid
That's all i can think of atm..
