I would say Lance, but since he doesn't know I exist, (ha), my friend Ann is the best. Her son races (15yrs old) and we always compare. I call her "Cyco turd", you would now why if you saw her going down a hill !!! Yikes.

I actually have 4, my DH and my 3 boys.
My sons are the most fun, my husband is the most constant!
When he's in the right mode, he's better than the kids.
My DH, but I have to be up for it. He pushes me beyond what I'd do on my own. Last time we did the century in Tahoe, I rode with his group, almost threw up, and we finished in about 5 1/2 hours. At the beginning, with all the steeper climbing, I kept saying "Go on, just go on and I'll finish on my own or catch you at a rest stop" and he wouldn't let me back off. I was a bit irritated at the time, but I finished strong and was glad I had pushed myself.
Often need some valium to ride with my DD.
My dh when he finds the time to get a ride in, otherwise my friend Chris. She is the one who pushes me. I sometimes call her Coach Chris.
~ JoAnn
My buddy Jo-Ann, because when we rode, we were about the same ability level, and would push each other. Well, she pushed me more than the reverse. But then we both got employed, and pregnant, and ...
Also my son, because he's so enthusiastic! But that's only short rides of up to 7 miles. Then he gets bored and hot.
Also our ex-exchange student, because he'd ride at my comparatively slower pace.
If my husband has our son on his bike, he's forced to my slower pace, and then I enjoy riding with him. But if he's been training and has nothing slowing him down, he has a hard time riding at my pace, and I get frustrated because we aren't riding together.
Is Matthew McConaughey available?
Favorite person to ride with?
Depends on the ride.
DH, of course, is high up on the list. But he's not one for "noodling." Cruising to take in the sights and stopping for coffee/snacks just aren't his bag. For those rides, I have a few girlfriends and those rides are cherished just as much as rides with DH.
My DH, then my daughter and son.
DH is up there on the list. But our pacing is different so our rides are more social siteseeing type rides.
I really miss my buddy James since I've moved. He pushed me but not too hard and he is very funny. We trained for IM together. After a few 5 hour plus rides we got so that we hardly spoke to each other, didn't have anything left to say. We'd just know what the other had to do and went out and did it. After awhile we started begging other people to come with us so that someone would talk. I miss James.:( :(
SILVER:D
What I'm finding is that she's the tortoise (the pacer) and I'm the hare (blowing my energy reserve too soon). I'm learning from her and I think I'll be stronger (and more patient) because of it.
Like many others, DH is my favorite riding partner - even if he does try to kill me on occasion :D . I especially like to ride the tandem with him - it's a great equalizer for us, and let's us more easily stay together. Of course, it also means that I'm going at his pace ;) .
I also have a great friend who is my training partner. We are more alike in ability levels, and complement each other well - she's a great climber, and I am a great descender/flats rider/sprinter. Makes our workouts good fun.

My husband, of course. We ride at the same speed, even though he can ride faster than me. But I have become faster, so he is happy to ride at a 14/ 15/16 average. He pushes me once in awhile and I hate it while it's happening, but afterwards, I appreciate it.
I also like riding with Denise G., but we don't get to do it often enough!
My most fun ride was with my (former) exchange student, who is a pro for a B level team in Germany. He did 2 twenty mile rides with me last summer, on his recovery days. I felt honored.
My friend Mike is good to ride with, especially towards the end of longer rides when I need a rabbit to chase just to get me home.
But honestly, I really prefer riding by myself. I got very used to it when I was in France and now I find I have little tolerance for talking while riding or keeping pace with another person (or setting the pace, for that matter). Unfortunately, it doesn't feel as safe to ride alone here as it did in France, so I find myself riding with other people for a feeling of security.
First, of course, would be DH. He's a bit quicker than me, but he pushes me well and if he's on a mountain bike and I'm on my road, we can carry about the same pace. I also love drafting him, we think the same, ride the same, so it's easy. I find newer riders more challenging to draft with.
Second would be my sister. She really doesn't ride, but she's in a shape. My sister kicks azz on a bike, she just has natural talent on and off road riding. I am a bit faster than her, but I have to push hard to make her push really hard. It's a fun ride and we compliment each other well. If only she would start taking cycling more seriously, I think she would do really well at it.
I have two, depending on the ride:
For a challenge, my son. He races and is constantly pushing me beyond what I think I can do.
For comfort, my SO. He and I have wonderful rides together and love being outside seeing the countryside. :D
My brother, Pscyclepath- the one 'sponsors' my bikes and most of my supplies!
My DH has no interest.
Whoever can right RIGHT NOW.
My DH. We started riding together 2 years ago and we are still at a similar level. I am stronger on hills, he is stronger on flats, but we are both evening out a bit in our abilities. We do 'siteseeing rides' and 'training rides'...I'm way more competitive than him...so in a group ride, I tend to push us a lot harder, but we still have fun. He is physically stronger, but I have better CV capacity, so long rides are a great equalizer for us. :) We plan to start doing some touring together this summer as well.
I also enjoy riding alone on shorter rides (15 - 25 miles).
humm...
I've been thinking about this one. I wish I could write "my sweet partner," but I can't. Well it depends at what time of the year. At this time, when he's a lot more trained than I am, I just refuse to ride with him. He is A LOT stronger than me and for him cycling is primarily a way to expunge his (high) stress. He doesn't get to go for super long rides these days so if it's anything under 2 hours he's going to hit it really hard. We're both going to be miserable if we try riding together.
However, later in the summer, when I'm more bike-fit, I can hold on to his wheel for my dear life, he can drop a couple of km/h, and we blissfully ride together. Or at least we did last summer. And when we hit a hill, he just rides in circles around me.
Honestly, I think I need better riding partners. I have my club of course but there's nobody there I ride with during the week. Nobody seems to have the same schedule or interests either. I often like to have a ride, and look at the landscape, not just go for a workout.
Well, my sweet partner's dad, soon to be father-in-law. He's a great, consistent rider, and he's happy to ride my speed. Maybe he's my favourite cycling partner. But we don't ride together often.
Anyways.... *sigh*
My only ever riding partner several times a year, is my dh. He keeps up with me even in the middle of my riding season. If he rode regularly he would ride circles around me.
Upon reflection, I think I'm a riding ****. I like riding with anyone who will ride with me (I was always one of those kids who needed somebody to play with!).
I love riding with my club Light riders group (because it's fun to meet new folks each week, and see the returning ones and their progress); I had fun riding with my Cindy training group because I was in a group a little too hard for me, and they were really nice women who pushed me to ride faster (just 'cause I had to really work to keep up); and I've been having a great time riding with TE gals, particularly Bikerz and Melissam (because Bikerz is inspirational and generous- she's given me and the bike rides home a couple of times, and Melissam is a sweetie and rode slowly with me last week when my knee was hurting, and pretended she didn't mind riding like a turtle :) ).
PS- the word TE *'d out starts with an s, ends with a t, and has lu in the middle. Prudes.....
First me ,myself, and I! Then my dh then my Best girl friend! But she hasn't gone out with me since our big bike trip last year. I think she is afraid I will mkae her ride in the dessert again amongst the snakes and thunder storms!
I really enjoy riding by myself, gives me some "me time", and I can do whatever I want. Either saunter along and enjoy the scenery, hammer as hard as I can, or some of both in the same ride.
I like riding with DH to spend time togehter, but he has no group riding skills and doesn't care to learn. He doesn't believe in drafting, as in, he claims he never feels an energy savings by drafting off someone. I can't draft off him for very long because he's inconsistent. He slows unexpectedly and forgets to point out hazards. We have a friend that is fun to ride with, he's stronger than me, but very consistent and is generally happy to go any pace you'd like.
I recently joined a club and I like riding with them because it pushes me to do more than I think I can. In addition I'm learning skills and gaining confidence in my bike handling.
I like riding on my own (I dont have any choice up my way) but the times I get to ride with the lovely ladies (and their partners) from TE are fabulous. These rides really encompass all the things I like. I get a good workout (these girls are strong and make me ride harder), I get fabulous company and I get to see some beautiful parts of the USA. Oops I nearly forgot - I get to eat lots of yummy food at the end.:)
My husband, when he's around. We just got him a bike when we were back in the States this Feb. He likes riding, but because of work he's not around much to ride with.
So I guess my answer would be "myself". I agree with HappyAnika, you can do whatever you want and don't have to worry about others riding with you. I feel that I'm a bit slow, so its nice to not hold someone back. But I would like the company once and a while!
I like riding with my husband if we're just tooling around. If that's not the case, he swerves a lot and doesn't hold a straight line...it's nerve wracking for me! So, most of the riding I do is alone...which I really love.
I'm crossing my fingers that a friend of mine will be a good buddy. She's interested in the same kind of riding I do. We're just waiting for our schedules to match up.
I love my club the Velo Girls but some of the best rides have been with TE gals, the Diablo rides, ACT, the ride to Redhook :D  :) that was my 2nd time cycling with Knott.
I have to agree with ace Bikerz is geat to bike with.
I guess it depends on my mood. I'm a loner so often I simply like to ride by myself. I do some of my best thinking on my bike and then there are times I really don't think of anything at all as I wander about the back roads of my community.
When I do want to ride with someone other than myself I love to ride with my BF. I know I slow him down but I do enjoy our time together on our bikes. He is often my "carrot" giving me an opportunity to push myself to new limits and see what improvements I've made or revealing my weaknesses. Either way I like to be with him.
I love riding with my 13 yo son. We do mostly mountain biking, and if not that, on the multiuse trail around town. Our road bikes are in process of being rebuilt, so we haven't done that, yet.
He has great skills and I'm really proud of how far he's come riding in the street, etc., since we started riding 3 years ago.
Karen
DH. It's one of the things we love to do together. Not that I've ever ridden with anyone else...
A certain gorgeous, intelligent man... someday I'd like to do more than draft in his wake ;) (or pull his not-quite-as-fast-as-me self along :D :D )
I ride alone. I ride a hybrid and not too many females around here ride bikes. So if any of you Montgomery County, Md folks see a black woman on a Rage Red Trek 7.2. , wave, it'll be me!! :)
My dad is my favorite person to ride with. I complain a lot when he makes me climb nasty hills but I figure I have to follow him cause I'm already that far and then I do and survive. Also he's fun to sprint with cause we're both so competitive. But on days when hes not home from work yet, I'd pick one of my two best friends cause I can go slower with them and just have a good, chatty, scenic ride.
