I want what they're drinking. :p :D
I thought the jewels were INSIDE the shorts.
you have jewels, mimi???
no, but my DH does and so do each of our sons...
How can they be shorts and robes and jewels, all at the same time?  And...a "performance crown" -studded in shorts?
I think somebody skipped a few classes in copy writing school...
Hey, how about:
"These shorts are the royal be-jewelled sceptor of Kings, to be raised on high, proudly revealing the heritage of blue blood coursing through its royal veins!!"...
you went over the top. sort of provokes nausea.
I don't like these shorts and haven't even seen them yet.
Thank God you're here, Mimi. I'll be off to bed now... :o
You've seen the shorts - they're the batman shorts -- and yes, there seems to be something crowning the jewels.
How can ANYONE not burst out laughing if they saw these on someone?? All they need are red arrows pointing to the circle. Or to have the scorpions look like they are crawling out of the circle.
Thom thinks I should get the heart ones. It's a shame I don't like that chamois. :D
V.
all the castelli gear i own has the scorpion, but not quite so .. vividly displayed.
It's like the shorts are saying: "Ok guys, here's the target.....but you have to get past all the DEADLY SCORPIONS first!!!"
I suppose it could be worse.....Castelli could use crabs as their logo. :p :p
Shouldn't we also assume that the 'free shorts' are also free?
We should all demand our free pair.
This is the funniest thread! Those shorts are not my cup of tea, I am not sure I would wear them if they were really free. Of course fair skinned women in white shorts never looks good to me. :p
The free shorts are black.

It's the Cuore's that are white and red.

They are NOT one of the jewels in your wardrobe however. :)

And then there is the Free Bib Short...
... which has the front section trimed away for a nearly naked feel.

Thank you, but I prefer to feel clothed on my bike.
V.
PS Not my misspelling of trimmed. :p
I'm kind of surprised--not pleasantly--with the direction Castelli seems to be heading in terms of design. Not my taste, but I'm sure that plenty of folks like this stuff. Each to her/his own.
I've been spoiled w/my Exte Ondo togs and I still love those LG shorts I bought--thanks to Veronica's rave reviews--last summer.
I'm glad those LGs are still working for you. I don't know why mine don't feel so great now. I'd like to think I just wore them out.
I just tossed out a pair of Castellis. The elastic was going in the leg, very itchy. They were 3 or 4 years old. I want to get a pair of those red and black EOs. They look cool! And I like the look of the knickers too. But I already have three pairs of knickers.

V--I have the EO red/black shorts in red/blue, and they are nice. If you're going to treat yourself to a new pair this year, you might want to try them. I think your LG shorts are probably too big for you now, which is why they don't feel as good. You could probably justify getting another pair if you are going to log a good many miles. Of the two, I like the LG's better than the EOs.
The EO Bera knickers are different from the EO "fall/winter" knickers (the ones w/the orange panel). The Beras have a lighter material and a different feel -- very supportive. I really like them a lot. You probably could find a place for them in your cycling wardrobe. I have found the "fall/winter" ones a bit too warm on days that are in the low-mid 50s. The Beras are perfect.
It's so cool having you test out all the apparel for us.
I don't think this is going to be a high mileage year for me - more of a stop and smell the roses.
