Picked up my baby from North Carolina last Tuesday. He's wonderful - and a handful! Puppy teeth are SHARP!!! He is 8 weeks old & knows to go outside to potty, sit, and come. He does "down" for a treat. Walks on a leash fairly well.

I have a new respect for stay-at-home moms. No coffee breaks, no lunch time and the day doesn't end at 5:00 PM! I have a four-legged toddler with no diapers. When he's quiet, I have to see what he's up to. Sometimes he is angelically asleep. Other times, he's teething on the couch with his toys right next to him.
Make note - keep him away from bike tire!

Went to a quiet outdoor mall today to socialize. Amazing what a pocket full of cooked chicken will do for a pup. Everytime somebody approached and petted, he got a treat. My last Shepherd was dog aggressive and wary of people. I never want to go through that again. One of the reasons I wanted a pup from this litter is that they are extremely stable. Mom and Dad are therapy dogs, as well as obedience titled.
CyclChyk - I think five well behaved dogs = 1 crazy dog. But if you are really interested, the breeder will be mating the same dad to an incredibly sweet black female sometime in 2007. Those should be amazing pups.

Dogmomma - my hubby is putting the brakes on dog #5 - but oh boy is it tempting! I have always loved sheperds and yours is certainly a beautiful one.
Maybe if my boxer Zeus calms down by spring.........;)
Congratulations!!! He's adorable. You're so lucky he's got the hang of house training. When I was overwhelmed with my second puppy (now 5) people would say, "Oh its such good practice for a baby," and I would say "At least babies wear diapers!" Have fun and enjoy the puppy time, it goes by too fast. :)
