Most fun ever had on a bike? I spent seven weeks on a solo tour of southwestern France earlier this year while I was doing research for my dissertation. It was fun, but lonely. I have to say, though, I had a great ride here at home with a couple friends yesterday morning: it was one of those rides where everything was in tune and grooving-- including myself!
Welcome to the board:
Stephanie: I'm so sorry somehow I missed your getting to know you post - don't know how coz I LOVE your avatar! There are days I really do ride like that just coz riding feels soo good!!
Katie: my first road bike on this my latest adventure in cycling was a 1987 Peugeot Avaroiz. He's really just a tad too tall for me......51 cm and the perfect fit for me is a 47 but I sure do love that bad boy. Most of the components are still original to the bike and he'll stay in my stable for years to come!
NJGirl: but of Course you should yearn for that $10,000 Cervalo! Every once in awhile I go to trekbikes.com and build my custom bike - just for grins and giggles. So far the cheapest I've been able to build was somewhere around $7500. lol Never hurts to dream eh? ;)
C-Mac, oh man that sounds awesome, original parts?! Hot damn.
Holly, GREAT photo!!
Katy, so COOL that you get to WORK in a bike shop too!! That picture is really cute. :p
Thanks! It was a GREAT trip! And the ride to Aulnay was one of the most exhilerating things I've ever done.Quote:

Most memorable moment on my bike: When I was 6 or 7 I borrowed a friend's bike so that I could learn how to ride a real two-wheeler. Most fun ever had on a bike? Every time I head out it's more fun than the last time :D

I joined a couple of months ago and have had fun (at work!) finding other women who ride. I commute three days a week, the most recently memorable being Tuesday when it bucketed rain in the morning and I went through a puddle (ha! lake!) that stretched curb to curb and was deep enough to come up over my bottom bracket. Needless to say, my toes squished the rest of the ride in.
