Hello all WoolWeenies-
Sierra Trading Post just added a bunch of new Ibex items today... enjoy.
I'm tossing out all my cotton & poly dress socks. After wearing my "snowflake" smartwool socks to work I few times, I found that I don't come home w/soaking wet feet (I admit it: my feet sweat a lot!). Rei has a great deal going on now -- 10% off if you buy 3 or more pairs of socks. Stocked up on some smartwool socks that I can wear w/slacks to work. :D

I just got my first purchase from Ibex. The loose tights will be going back. The larges (12-14) were too tight on my rear. Everything else I own is a 12 and fits ok. I should have listened to KnottedYet. Great sale on them too from Ibex. Nice weight pants and I loved the little zipper. I just can't seem to make myself order the extra large, especially since they charge another $6.00to make an exchange. Maybe I'll try the smartwool twister pants instead. Anyone have those?
I forgot and threw my first merino wool purchase in the dryer, it shrunk to an amazing degree of tiny. I gurss I'm still in a learning curve with this wool stuff.

Sandy- I have both the Ibex loose tights and the smart wool twister pants. I usually wear an 8-10 in pants (I am really a 10 in the booty-thigh area generally) and I have the large in the loose tight (still snug on the rear, but not in a bad way) and I have the medium in the smartwool twister pants, they are much more forgiving. Still snug on the butt, but much less than the Ibex, and looser through the thigh... I would think that the large would be fine for you. I love both, but they are really different. The twister pant is a lot thinner and softer, more like the smartwool tops. I really like the rise on them, it is a nice mid-rise, below the belly button on the hips, but not low cut by any means.... no plummer but potential there :-) Since they are lighter weight I feel like I can probably wear them for more of the year compared to the Ibex loose tight. I plan on wearing them on some of the really long airline flights I have coming up (think 16 hours on a plane), I thought the Ibex ones might be too warm for that length of time sitting on a plane.Quote:

The Twizel... ah, behold the Twizel. Perhaps one of the gawd-awful ugliest shirts in existence. But in a sad, sick, 1970's throw-back kind of way it did call to me. I yearned for the Collo and the Meru, but the Twizel is simply a case of lust. More than 50% off. Yea, I am weak.
Even when the daemons of the internet informed me that the Twizel (the TWIZEL?!?! you must be KIDDING!!) was backordered, I swayed not from my perilous path. I ordered the misbegotten thing, anyway.
Who needs food? Who needs to pay the car insurance? Who needs electricity? No, it is wool, the siren song of wool that drives me forward.

If you guys are busy buying Ibex sale stuff, just be aware that the "Amelia" shirt is VERY thin- I got the corn yellow one for my (grown) daughter and it is rather see-through. But very comfy. I advised her to use it as a sleep shirt, for which it would be most excellent and cozy. I wear my Ibex Wooly tops to sleep in.
I wondered how thin those Wooly shirts were. They sounded almost like Smartwool thinness.
I assume the Twizel-70's-Flashback will be equally thin, but with all those wacky stripes, man, hopefully no-one will notice.

Long Time Member - Long Time Gone!.....but I'm back now (kinda) and ya'll have made me accept my wool denial and come out of the woolwork so to speak. I was first introduced to Smart Wools by a cute REI guy (oh yeah...like cute mattered!!! :p ) Feel in Love with them, bought more - then introduced some friends to wool so I wouldn't be all alone. Now I'm knitting/crocheting my own wool socks because I can get better yarn colours than I can buy!
