Any idea when you plan on getting to the start? We all are leaving so early we may miss you but hopefully our paths will cross - especially by the second sag stop.
Pam, I will plan on being there by 6:00 or 6:15 A.M. so I can see all of you and will probably start with you guys.

Hi Tracy, Glad you got the saddle. Alex probably will not be able to make CB because he wrecked his knee - not even in a biking accident. He twisted it in his office!! He loves his saddle though. Anyway, I look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

UGH! i remember how SORE i was doing stagecoach cuz i still had the GAWDAWFUL jett saddle that came on the bike! it was AWFUL! it's the ONLY time i didn't go out and ride the day after a long ride for recovery! i was just TOO SORE!

OK guess I'm stupid - I got a new saddle (but have had 3 rides on it already), new cleats and new pedals (replacing old worn out) and new tires. Who knows I'll probably hurt like the ****ens!! Not that I wouldn't anyway.

Well Audrey we definitely won't start without you although I realize at some point you'll be moving on (you are such a strong rider!). At least ride with us to the second sag. At that point lots of folks will be making other plans.
This 6:30 start is going to be tough. Really early for me. Eyes not quite open and body not quite ready to ride. The first year I did the metric I didn't start until 9:30 and the century I started between 7:30 - 8 so I alway drove up the morning of. I'm staying overnight this time so I guess no excuse to get up and be ready to ride.

I like the pace myself so I don't want to go too fast or too slow. I learned this from the aids ride to start early so that I could take my time if I want to.

Hopefully we'll see you at the beginning - at the ride start. I'm riding with Tracy and Nina and we plan on starting same time as you - around 6:30.
that's what i have to do.... if i go too fast trying to keep up with someone faster... i'll burn myself out so i can't finish... go too slow and i'm in the saddle longer than my tushie can stand! i have to go MY speed on these long rides! and that's what i keep telling everyone! go YOUR PACE! don't ride someone else's ride! if that means you can't stay together as a group... than so be it... but in the end... you will finish your ride cuz you paced yourself!Quote:
