Otay. I can try the video on my new camera and we can make a movie and set it to music and put it on youtube and everthing.
Here's Kent Peterson's take on the recent Seattle 300K. I really enjoy his reports.

I've actually only done three and attempted a 4th double.
I ride a Brooks Finesse.

We're breaking into this broadcast with a spazz-o-stoopid question:
What's a brevet?
What's a permanent (other than a hair process and something many relationships aren't  )?
I DO understand this thread is about long... REALLY long rides, but after reading the whole thing I'm still stooopid-spazz.
:D
P.S. Congrats to all y'all doing this crazy stuff.
Some cocktail hour reading.

MP and I are enjoying a nice Fetzer Gewurtz before I start the pre-ride carboload pasta dinner. Baked ziti with Black Forest ham and sundried tomatoes. Grilled aspergrass on the side. Edamame hors duvers.
Major ****inson coffee so she'll ride like Lance.
She cannot ride like Lance! She'll get to the rendezvous too early!
V.
Maybe she could ride like Lance on a bad day?;)
Thank you muchly Madam SadieKate!! Very interesting indeed...
Did not see "permanent" defined though... little help here, you fine little iron butts you
spazz - who likes her rides like she liked her runs... short and FAST!
You didn't look far enough:
A Permanent is like a brevet but you can ride it any time, not just on one specific date. Like brevets, routes can start and finish in the same location, but they can also run point-to-point, and can be any distance of 200km+ (100-199km for a Permanent Populaire). Permanents are open to any RUSA member. They can be ridden alone or with a group.
short 'n slow snap
SK, give MP my very best wishes for a safe and warm (if not dry :( ) day tomorrow !
Fetzer Gewurtz, yummers. You do know how to treat your friends right.
Spazz, keep looking around the RUSA site, they describe permanents in there. You're a smart girl, I know you can find it. :)
V and I are doing a permanent next weekend. :)
