Cookies, pizza, beer - it's all good.
I am impatiently waiting for tulip's after photos. She has shared some really neat plans in the remodeling thread, should make us a bit jealous when she is done.
tulip- I never posted a picture of my finished landscaping but I took your advice and planted something (Katie's Dwarf Ruellia) in front of those Japanese Barberries. They are grassy right now but when it was warmer the pink and violet blooms were nice too. Thanks for the suggestion, it looks more complete. Couldn't get DH to got for bringing the bed any further out, maybe future years. Even with him getting the plants for next to nothing he was tired of spending money.
Back among the living! After about 48 hours solid in bed, I managed to get up AND work out today, and make a beef stew with the roast leftovers hubby cooked yesterday.
The house is a total wreck, and Christmas is in how many days???
K.
I LIKE this jobob person! I'll take some more photos tomorrow after they patch the drywall and the floor where the old wall was. Then when the cabinets come in January I'll certainly let you know. Thanks for the well-wishes.
Aggie, I'm glad the landscape worked out. I can certainly understand your husband's not wanting to spend any more money. I have Big Plans for my yard come spring, so I'm starting alot of perennials from seed in my basement this winter.
Tulip, did you ever see the pictures of our big '07 remodel? Aiyiyi. In case you didn't, here they are. I love the intro picture, where it looks like the house is just barfing out its old contents.

Salsa, those are great photos, almost like watching an animated short! Mine's just the interior, no additions. The main work is the kitchen. I can't wait to see how it looks all done, as this is the first house that I've owned that I can actually do whatever I want to (within reason, of course).
I can't find my yard. it's under a foot of snow encased in ice.
but temps are supposed to jump above freezing today.
Wow- tough conditions, Mimi!
We have about a foot of snow here, but it's still fluffy and easy to push around.
It's 15F right now, and in an hour I am going snowshoeing with some other folks from the Land Conservancy, if it doesn't get canceled for some reason. Should be 20F by then though! :D
