I'm hoping lack of vacation is the main problem. It's been almost 2 years since I've had any length of time off; even then I was getting phone calls and emails at home. I really hate this - I can't plan anything because I have no one to cover for me. Frustration is very high - contempt for management is equally high. My work is affected, but I really don't care.

Uh, what kind of trouble do you expect me to be getting into here? Mimi and CC - Yes, I happen to be a member of AAA for many, many years... I'm also having the Jeep serviced before I go, I have all my maps and plans laid out, I have all of the hotel reservations that are practical to have right now all taken care of, I am making time to say good bye to everyone I care about (and trying to not break down and cry every time), I've arranged to move my shift around at work on some of the last days so I can pack my truck for the journey and still keep going to work, and I'm managing to do this all by myself and still keep a sliver of sanity. I do have to admit though that I am still packing. Taking time to do all of the above things has gotten me behind considerably so I'm up late at night and up early in the morning to get it all done. I've survived on 4-5 hours of sleep for years as a student, so I guess I can do it now for something this important.
But, yes, absolutely YES, I am gonna let loose and have fun on my journey because I feel I earned it, baby. :D It took me a long time to get here in my life and I'm going to enjoy every moment of my roadtrip and my new life to the "fullest extent of the law". (yes, Kit, no further than that ;)) But if we do get crazy, we'll take pics, ok? :D :D
