How cute, Roadie Gal -- I bet your friend loved it!
So - if you get up from the dinner table and fail to push in your chair, you are at risk of losing your seat in our house!
Paris (black) and Zoe (tabby) rule the seats....

Paris and Zoe have sure grown up to be beautiful adult cats, 7rider. It seems like just yesterday (although I know it wasn't), you were asking questions about kitten proofing your house!
7 rider, that is a great picture! It could have been taken at my house; I have a gray tabby and a black shorthair too!
7rider that photo reminds me of the days when I had cats. All furniture belonged to the cats.
Molliewog, the Tiger pose is awesome. How long does he stay like that?
Roadiegal, did the dog forgive you for this indignity? Or did he enjoy the attention?
He will stay for a few minutes. He does it so frequently that I started a tumblr blog just about him sitting around!

Love my British Shorthair.
Too cute, Molliewog!!!
Has anybody else watched the series on Animal Planet called Too Cute? They've featured some cat breeds, including the British Shorthair--that I wasn't all that familiar with. There are just way too many adorable cats out there. It makes me want to become the Crazy Cat Lady! Anyway, the show is, as the title suggest, too cute. I'm embarrassed to say that DH and I have gotten in the habit of watching on Saturay nights--if that tells you anything about our social life. :p
Thanks Owlie and indysteel! I'll have to see if I can find that episode with the Brits.
British Shorthairs are awesome cats. I fell in love with their look and personality. Tiger is my second. I unexpectedly lost my girl in my profile pic. She was a top quality show cat. Thanks to her, I went to my first cat show and have become a crazy cat lady :D
I got both of my Brits as adults. While I do advocate shelter pets (and have another cat from a shelter), I have enjoyed having "retired" pedigreed cats. If you like a particular breed, this is a great way to get a quality cat with a known history at a much lower price.
For those of you who do like cats, I do have a regular crazy cat lady blog at http://www.houseofmeow.com
Lol, it's how I keep myself busy during this snowy season as I eagerly await reuniting with my road bike.
7Rider, your cats are lovely. They look like they're waiting to be served lunch.
PamNY, Toby was OK with the tie, but he hated the hat. And, of course, he loved the attention he got from everyone.
We record Too Cute and watch it with breakfast. Recently they had collie puppies on the show. We were so thrilled that the parents were smoothies. One of my favorite lines from the show was "Collies have one of the largest vocabularies of all breeds". LOL So true.
Thanks for the kind comments about the passing of my bulldog Lloyd. It helps a lot to connect with people who understand.
Wanted to share a gift I received -- a portrait of Lloyd painted on a glass sun catcher:

The gift was from the Hornby eagles webcam chat -- some I know in person, some are online friends. The artist was among the founders of the Hornby Eagles Project Society, which sponsors the cam.
What a thoughtful thing for someone to do, Pam. It's a beautiful rendering of Lloyd.
That is beautiful. What a wonderful thing to give you.
What a lovely gift! I know you will really treasure it!

Here is Bandit. He was acting as ski patrol in the backyard this morning!
Bandit is gorgeous. Looks at home in the snow.
Taffy has taken to napping in the paper recycling bin. Perhaps she knows that the blue bag matches her eyes.

Attachment 16052Attachment 16051here are my two kitties, Tux the maine coon- all 25 pounds of him, and Miss Ike who I rescued from a parking garage at the hospital the day after hurricane Ike. I mistook her for a flat tire on my car parked in the dim, nothing but emergency lights shadow, hence the name.
All three of the pets in the same room. :) The horse-dog is really just waiting on her food, not caring at all about the cats. The boy cat, who is more than twice the size of the little girl cat, is pretty much hiding behind her. And she doesn't really care about the dog. No one is traumatized anymore. Still a bit to go I think for the boy to feel comfortable. But he sits in the living room with me and watches the dog, even went right near here to get to his favorite toy. All and all, I think it's going pretty well.

Nuliajuk, Taffy looks so comfy in there. Cats do come up with amazing nap spots.
Marni, your cats are gorgeous. I had Maine Coon years ago -- they are the best.
Possegal, it's nice to see a happy family. "Horse dog" -- I love it.
This is a picture from an RV trip I did last summer with the dogs. Toby looks like he's waiting for his s'more... or at least for SOME treat...

Roadie, that's precious. He's obviously ready for whatever!
I made a Youtube video of Lloyd photos -- it was a happy project and helped me move on from thoughts of his final illness. We had so much fun when he was young.

Toby is so cute and cuddly!
These photos aren't of me and my cats, but I thought they were just beautiful and worth sharing.
I have not been as active on the forum as i wanted to be...we acquired a new puppy in early February. She is a Weslh Terrier and her name is Willow.

Oh boy!!! Terriers are a handful but, I think her and Tiger are buddies now.
Attachment 16144
Adorable puppy Trek-chick! Loving the new addition to your home :) I wish I was home enough to justify a pet!
Willow is too cute, Trek Chick! I grew up with terriers, and they remain my favorite type of dog. They just have SO much personality.
Has anybody seen Best in Show? It's one of my favorite movies. One of the scenes that runs through my mind any time terriers come up in conversation is the one where they sing "God Loves a Terrier." It cracks me up every time.

Pippi the monkey in the kitchen is still going strong at 9 and Max with the brick, my dearest, who I lost last fall at the age of 14. Both rescues at different times - every day with them is one of amazement that anyone would give these amazing dogs up.
Willow is adorable. I admire terriers from a distance. They're so cute, but I just couldn't own one.
Best in Show was hysterical! I've seen it a few times and love it more each time.
Paris is the King of Lounge.
Here is is, reclining on our bed.
If there is fleece - he is happy.
He loves to lay on his back (both cats do - love getting their bellies rubbed - is that weird with cats?). My DH said he was like this for a good 15 minutes.

awwww, where is the love button? Such a sweet cat!
One of these days I would like to see Best in Show, I've never seen it.
I found this picture of the dogs when I was looking for something else. I just think this is a really good one of both of them.
For some reason it attached as a small view. You can click on it to enlarge it.

LOL, how cute!!! (or handsome). :D
It looks as thought this thread hasn't had much love lately. That's sad. So I'm giving it a bump.
The Fosco update.

It's been 2 years since we adopted our munchkin. He grew from 18 lbs at 8 months to a little over 30 lbs. The vet thinks he must have been malnourished in his young years. He's healthy, happy and generally well adjusted (unless you're a hispanic man with a hat or a hoody, then he's going to freak out). We've done obedience with him and 2 agility classes and he's a super star on the agility course. He's also a great trail buddy on the bikes. Thanks to all of you who gave us advice when we first got him. It was invaluable.

My crazy kids with their paintings I had done for hubby's Christmas present one year.
Love your Bostons and their portraits, PortlandKelly! Way too cute! I've posted a few photos of our Paisley in our thread, but it's a lot to go back through, so here are a couple of new ones from before and after play. You'll easily be able to guess which is which! :D
