Yeah, I thought she was down a lot too, but was too lazy to check it out.
Congrats to both of you!

Slowly, but surely, in the right direction.
I walked around our big block yesterday for the first time since leaving the hospital. That's a mile and a half. A slow mile and a half, but still.

Good for you Roxy! (And Jobob and Tprevost and all of you). I've fallen off this challenge and I can't get up! Seriously - I am doing a great job maintaining and am happy with that. I will probably start again in the new year as I am traveling all next week.
Happy holidays all.
Sorry to be late reporting in. 167.4 as of Saturday.
Finishing the last check-in of this challenge at 136.0. Considering how bad I was last weekend I am very pleased with this.
Sign me up for the next challenge. I am going to start mixing things up to see if I can get my body on the other side of this plateau I've been on for so long.
198 even :( ....just a few ounces down from last week. 3# short from my goal..but considering the fact that I am not on a diet + the Holidays food and not really killing myself at the gym...thats pretty cool. Also I am really dropping sizes and toning very quickly...maybe that's why...the muscles are taking over the fat.
I will try to lose 10-15 pounds by my Bday (Feb 23) but for that to happen I know for sure I will have to go on a strict HEalthy diet and really stick to it. I have done it before though... Let's see If I am strong enough to do it :)

Bummed. Up a couple of pounds and I know it was two dinner buffets. I just can't handle more than one every few months.
I'll post a new thread later this weekend for January-February.

136 for me. I am pretty happy about it.:D

Following a big-ish dinner at Olive Garden on Wednesday and I got my period. Not worried about it. To be honest, I'm happy to be upright most of the time these days.
Roxy, who is enjoying walking the dog around the big block, even if it wears out the dog a bit
Final weigh in is at 155.8... Had a little meltdown this week but sort of back on track (gotta get through tonight!) :p. Happy New Year everyone!!
Late checking in, 139.5 today. I am happy with that, I didn't make my goal but I also didn't focus hard on not indulging over the holidays. I am getting off Weight watchers and trying to lose a bit more giving up some of my vices (artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, processed foods). I found it was too easy for me to rely on these on Weight watchers. The new program focuses on fresher foods but it is easier for me to just grab a box with the points. Also I need to work more on toning, not weight to make my body what I want.
I am 35 pounds lighter than 365 days ago. And I now wear a size 6-8 where I was a size 12-14. Happy 2012.
I joined this forum in April when I was a bit more than 20 pounds into my weight loss journey. The weight loss challenge was a great help to me, plus Possegal's spreadsheet has helped me keep track of my progress. I just went back to look at the spreadsheets since I joined and it felt good to see what I managed to accomplish. Going from obese to normal weight in a year.
I am 48 pounds lighter than a year ago. I was a size 2x and now and am an 8/10.
Now I just have to improve my fat/muscle ratio.
Wow, goldfinch and Amanda! :p
Wonderful jobs both of you. That's some significant weight loss. You should be very proud of yourselves.
Happy New Year!
What Emily said! Great job, both of you.
And to the rest of us. :) Cheers!
So salami is laden with sodium, huh?
I'm so puffy today I can barely get my wedding ring on and off. The only unusual thing I've eaten is some pita bite crackers with Genoa salami and provolone cheese last night...I have never had salami that I recall, and rarely eat cheese, although I do like provolone on sandwiches sometimes.
I'm going to be drinking lots of water to flush this stuff out of me. I'm glad weigh-in is several days away.
Roxy
Any "lunch meat," especially pork or beef based, is going to be extremely salty. It's horribly fatty, too, and not the good kind of fat. It sucks to think that we can't have treats like this once in awhile, but I know that if I eat any type of food that is very salty, I feel horrible and I will gain 2 lbs. overnight.
Yeah, that's what I figured, after the fact. Good thing this party thing doesn't happen all that often.

I guess this doesn't count, but I just got back from vacation late last night and weighed myself at 139.8 this morning. Which is nothing short of amazing. I slept until almost noon (went to bed at 3:45 am), so I'm sure it will be higher tomorrow morning at regular time, but I'm really glad it wasn't way higher than usual.
Vacation eating was way different from usual. Meals at unusual times, smaller lunches than usual, more protein for dinner than usual, lots of desserts, also lots of vegetables.
I brought some of the leftover desserts back with me, and plan to freeze them in small portions so I can have a treat now and then.
And now, back to our regularly scheduled eating habits...
Thank you everyone. My husband has gotten three people in the last week stop him and ask what I had done. I did this for me and my health but I can't say it isn't nice that people notice. I just feel so much better in so many parts of my life now.
Goldfinch- GREAT JOB!! You have already done the harder part, now you can work on the muscle. It is a lot easier when you're feeling better because you are not obese.
