Hey Jobob... I'm REALLY late to this news. I hope you are on the mend and close to getting back in the saddle.
Those derned "involuntary dismounts" will get you every time.
Hang tight Jobob - you be one of my cycling idols ;)

Hey Spazz, that's so sweet of you, thanks! And DirtDiva too, hi there.
Trekhawk sent me some tim-tams, best things on earth just about, both Lee and I say thanks to that (and the arm wrestling has begun.)
I'm doing better all the time, I can get up and go out for a few hours at a time w/o any problem. Even when I get tired, or my back gets a little achey (or both), a short lay-down works wonders.
My right shoulder is healing up nicely, I can move it pretty well now.
The double vision is still hanging in there. :p It's slowly diminishing, though, thankfully.
Oh and I almost forgot to mention, Leebob and Veronica were comparing ideas today on how to "decorate" my removable vest-like cast. Oy.
Jobob...i suppose you could make/do a Tim Tam Slam...:D with your fave drink. I don't think beer would go well though..how about some Baileys :D
Oh, do what the students did to one of our teachers when he had a halo after a hockey incident...christmas decorations...
Don't forget the glue gun and glitter.
Oooh! Arts 'n' Crafts!! Let's have some beer and get creative! :D
How 'bout some tassels? :p
Here is Mexican painter Frieda Kahlo lying in bed while painting her body cast:

Oh lordy, don't give 'em ideas!!
:D
Now that's creative!Quote:

So glad to hear you are doing better, Jobob. What a nightmare, but it sounds like you were in good hands... both at the accident site and well after for recovery. So happy that you are out and about, even for short periods.
It's so strange, now that Lee and I are getting out more, and he's telling people about the accident and the days immediately after in the ICU, I think "dayam, I must have really been bad off!"
But since I don't remember anything from that day (still), and very little from the following days, it seems like he's talking about someone else.
Weird, I know.
