Another good day for me. I love Reese's peanut butter cups. There were three of them sitting in front of me. I did not eat them.
Today's meeting got out early so I got out on my bike for about an hour. The best part, I was able to hit the hills pretty hard and it did not irritate the knee at all.
Hope everyone else had a good day as well. But if you give in to whatever tempts you - ten push ups please. :D
V.
Another good day for me too. Ate with a group tonight and everyone around me had chocolate cake and ice cream. I resisted. I didn't work in a bike ride today so I'm about to go get on the treadmill. I need a trainer for my bike.
Is it too late to join this challenge? If so, will there be another?
I'm doing well today. I did end up eating a single mini candy bar last night but was still within my calories for the day so it wasn't too bad. Better than the 5-6 I've been eating for the past few days.
Today, I past up buying a pizza for dinner when I was tired and hungry and came home to make something more reasonable. Good girl. Off to input my food on sparkpeople now and see if I get a snack tonight. :)
Bad day for me. I was doing good until lunch time. I finished eating my healthy lunch and just couldn't resist the birthday cake sitting in the middle of the table in the staff lounge. It was delicious and I enjoyed it until I finished the last bite. Then I was mad at myself for giving in. Starting from square one again tomorrow. :(
Tomorrow is a new day Susan. Back on the wagon. Maybe we should make a rule. You can't have two bad days in a row. :p I'm going to make it a rule for myself anyway.
Did good today. Well -- I already abandoned the South Beach Phase 1 idea after one day :~. When I was bonking just sitting at my desk, I knew I wouldn't make it through my hard-for-me group ride tonight. They had bagels for breakfast at work, so I just grabbed a few spoonfuls of peanut butter. Ate half and was fine until lunch. Mixed greens, red peppers and turkey salad for lunch. By 4:30, I knew I wouldn't make it through my 6:30 ride, so off the South Beach wagon and I grabbed a banana and sliced it into the rest of my peanut butter. When I realized that lots of fast women were riding tonight too, I grabbed a gu right before we started. I didn't get dropped (usually do) so all was good. After the ride, a homemade veggie soup (split peas, lima beans, shredded cabbage and kale, and mushrooms in a chicken base -- yum!)
I think I need to just stick to what I know is good, clean food. I was gonna do South Beach, or Paleo/Caveman, but I think I just need to eat clean. Lean proteins, nuts and seeds, low-fat dairy, high-fiber grains, tons of veggies and fruit. I'll call it the Pedal Wench Diet and let y'all know how it goes!
I like having to be accountable. Thanks for listening!
There are so many of you that I want to congratulate, Veronica, Sandra, who else?? Reeses????? Now there is some awesome willpower (sheesh, I started to type wheelpower  instead of willpower, time for a nap! :o )
I did well today. At the conference today were numerous pasteries in the morning and cookies in the afternoon. I had none! Yippee!! Best conference that I have ever been to in regards to the speaker. I learned so much about substance abuse I think it will take days to process it all.
Tomorrow is birthday celebration #1 at Olive Garden with my dad. I promise to be good.
Hey, how do you quote more than one person within a reply to a thread? I can figure out how to quote one person, but not several.
Sorry for the spastic thread drifts, it is beddie by time for me. Long day.
Hit the quotes mark instead of the word quote. It changes colour but nothing else happens. Then go to another post and do the same thing. On the last post. just hit the quote button and they should all show up. Does that make sense, I'm tired too. :o
I did well today. No temptations at work. The only candy left is yucky stuff I wouldn't eat anyway.
I pack both breakfast and lunch every day and keep track of the calories for those two meals on a spreadsheet I made up. When I leave for home at the end of the work day, I know how many calories are left from the 1500 the nutritionist suggested starting with. Knowing what I have to "play" with at dinner helps me gauge what and how much I eat. If I can keep from snacking while cooking, I should see some results. I'm more concerned with losing inches than pounds right now.
On the weekends I eat well but don't track what I eat. And if I know I'm going to do a longish ride, I eat more.
I've already warned the family that I'm not doing much baking this holiday season. Gingerbread cookies - that's it.
