MP! Oh my! I'm so glad they diagnosed this before something major happened! I'm wishing you a quick recovery. I would imagine dancing shirtless bike mechanics would do wonders for you today ;)
Take care
Sending get well wishes your way, MP!
That's a long time from when you flew till when you were diagnosed! Glad to hear you are ok- PEs are very, very bad.

One of the articles SK posted in Open Topic says it can take up to 30 days! That is a very long time! I'm trying to figure out how, physiologically, it can take that long. Weird.
Hi ((((MP))))
I'm so sorry that you are not well, but even though you're bored, I'm glad to hear that you're being taken care of!! (and happy that you were diagnosed properly!)
Sending prayers that you get well quickly!!
Denise
Thanks guys! I just posted the whole story on open topic. I'm HOME!!!
What does "lizard time" mean?
And, Cracker Chicken
(my free-living young Gopher Tortoise, out on his very own in his own home-made burrow for the first summer ever)
has survived the torrential rain, and was not trapped in his burrow
(who knows if they flood or not? or does the sandy soil drain well enough? certainly Mother Nature must have provided a means of survival in burrows in the rain in Florida!)
like, as BF so descriptively put it, a West Virginia coal miner!! Saw him rapidly disappearing when I got home this afternoon.
Yay! We tend to worry about him, not like he's a wild animal with a life of his own or anything.
Very descriptive story, MP. I especially liked the mouthful of blood in the car. Well, who'd have thunk it- I'm sure we have all learned something from your experience!
Do you mean you're a compulsive throat-clearer like that character Sarah Jessica Parker played in that recent movie I didn't see and can't remember the name of?

MP is more of the breathless type.:p Kind of like Marilyn Monroe without the ditzy persona, cuckoo but not ditzy.
Lizard time means it summer and time to lounge in the sun, warm the old bones. Peppermint Mocha season has passsed and we're on to iced lattes. Though Peet's now makes Freddos with Scharfen Berger so I need to go try one and then change the sig line.
oooooooh, love the new look SK :D
Love the avatar, SK.
Have a date tonight with a guy who's friends with a nurse with whom I work. She gave me his number. We talked on the phone for > an hour. I think this is the first truly blind date I've ever had. I said, "Um, what do you look like?" as we were setting up dinner. He told me, I told him, then he said, "We'll recognize each other by the deer-in-the-headlights look on our faces!" Big points for that one. MWBR.
MP! So glad you're home! Scooting over now to read the story! L.
I like the lizard, too!
"compulsive throat clearing" as in I always feel like I have fluid in my lungs. Most recently, apparently I was right, and the fluid was blood. Who'd a thunk?
Oh Lise - sounds like maybe a good one!? Fingers crossed.
