Thank you everyone for such nice comments on my bike!
The jersey fits well in the size I chose for me (3X). The sleeves are non-binding and as you can see the rest gives me a loose but not baggy coverage of my, ahm, generous self. :) There isn't elastic in the hem but it glides smoothly over my rear assets and doesn't ride up. It has a more feminine cut (slightly princess?) that I think would be flattering to many body types. I don't know if that helps you or not as so much of fit is subjective to our own tastes and foibles.:DQuote:

Probably around 30 lbs. For commuting I usually have a handlebar bag and a trunk back on her (as in the above pictures). For errands, I add a pair of grocery panniers and for leisure just go the the handlebar bag and the underseat toolbag. In all 3 set ups she handles well. The tires are 700cc with the front tire width being a 35 and the rear being a 37.Quote:

oh, forget long sleeve jerseys, the moment you get warmed up they are a *&^%.
Get a wild pair of arm skins! Maybe some AV arm skins (you'd have to find someone here who'll part with them or wait till next time).
Okay, here I am and wearing a mighty fine jersey, too! :D
Tater,
You look great! I am so envious that I missed out on a jersey. I want to be in the club. :(
I think having a new bike warrants posting a new picture ;)
How do we make this thread sticky?

Great picture, great bike! No wonder you're smiling.
OK, Nicole (aka MDHillSlug), I think I've got the same bike as you, and I've got a red helmet, so I sure as heck hope we don't wear the same color jersey tomorrow or we'll look like those dorky guys who ride in matching clothes! My usual riding partner and I always joke how they look like the kids from the Sound of Music.

Here's me on my mtn bike with Sue Haywood coaching through a tough uphill switchback. A group of friends and I went to West Virginia last weekend for an all girls weekend. Sue was one of the guides/coaches. It was an awesome weekend!
I don't have any pics of me on my road bike, but will post if/when I get some.

Great pictures Tater, MDHillSlug & kerrybelle!!
Tater -- I'm envious too -- I want to be in the club & wear that cool
jersey :( ......maybe next time....
MDHillSlug I like your jersey too! What kind is it??
Peace & Love,
Denise
I wish I had a mountain biking photo, and this is not my favorite Bike Friday photo since it's more from behind (and I have my temporary fill-in icky helmet on), but it's the only clear and semi-closeup photo I could find at the moment. Here I am on my Bike Friday Pocket Crusoe (it looks so tiny, but really rides nicely!)

I just found this. Wow! You all look so good. It's nice to put faces to names.
This is such a great thread, I thought it needed to be brought up current. I've got a new camera that I'm playing with so I'll get some pics this week and post 'em.
How have I missed this thread?
Thanks for all the cool pictures!!!
Here's mine from the first day of this year's Grand Tour, somewhere in upper Vermont:
Well, not my bike, but a recent picture from our Trek Travel tour in Tuscany.

Silver, you have a beautiful position on your bike -- looks like it fits you to a "t"!

This is a picture of me threading may way through the rocks on my recent MTB holiday in Spain:

I loved that trail and the novelty of riding on dry dusty trails
(Hope it works as I couldn't get it to work as img)
A picture of us on our tandem (on more normal wet UK style trails!)

cool shot Tattie!! and Grog and Silver, now I know what you look like!
:)
I love seeing what us TE sisters look like! Everyone looks so happy.
Just a leisurely ride along the sea front today, nothing strenuous, just enjoyable.
Ahem, my cycling gear does not quite match most of you guys! Nevermind, I guess I am just a slobby cyclist but I love it! At least I am not a fair weather rider.
I ate my first ever Mojo bar today, courtesy of my SS (Cheers Mimi), it was rather nice although I did have to share it with my partner.

Here's a pic of me riding home from our getting married at the courthouse this summer (DH is taking the pic while riding next to me but I cropped most of him out - except for his nose I think b/c it's a really up-close shot of him that I'm sure he doesn't want on the internet!). I can't find any pics of me where you can see my bike too - maybe I have some on my computer at home, but none on my work computer, so this will have to do. You can see Memorial Bridge and the Lincoln Memorial though! This is my commute to and from work everyday (same views whether riding or driving). I especially love riding at night when all the memorials are lit up.
I think I'd posted an older shot much earlier in this thread...but here is a more recent one. This is my current bike taken in August. DH took this while riding next to me (and with a disposable camera), so it's a bit off center! (excuse the thumb!)

Here's me on the right! with friend Kristin Roo. Photo taken by friend Kristin West when they came out to ride with me on the tour I took this fall.
Location is in North Central Oregon, somewhere near to Condon, OR. Note both the wind farm in the background, AND the sign indicating a steep grade. That day, we started in the John Day River canyon, so it was a day full of steep grades, mild headwinds, and not much shade. :D :D
Bought hubby a new camera for our anniversary and he took a picture of me!

I don't have many pictures on my work computer (and don't spend much time on the home computer), but here are a couple ...
Awesome photos ladies. I do so enjoy being able to put a face to a name. :D
Here is me on my last trip.
This is a picture of me enjoying the Rhode Island MS 150.
FINALLY- I have pictures of me on my bike.
The first is one during my IM, and the other one is DH and I on a club ride last month.
Awesome pics Tri Girl! I want legs like yours. :)
Thanks, Jennifer? You can have my legs- I don't love the way they look (but for the life of me and all the working out I do, they never change or lean up). They are powerful, but are the shortest and chubbiest part of me. Funny how we see ourselves so differently than others. I love the Nike campaign that had the ad for "thunder thighs" and how proud we should be of them. I should embrace my thunderness.... :)
I too like the Nike ads. We are our own harshest critics. Your legs look lovely and powerful to me. It is amazing to me how much my body changed from what it used to be. Now I am stronger and older (so things have shifted  ) and no matter what I do, I have a "bubble" butt. Running just makes it worse. :p I guess I should embrace my curviness?
