Emily, that's so cool you bought Catrin's bike!
Sweet! For me it actually needed to be at least 4 inches higher for non-trail use...which is why it has such a long seat-post. I am so glad that you are happy with it and looking forward to hearing about your first ride!
I've thought about going with a darker dye, but the red works and it is dangerous to start mixing colors. The last time it became a lavender-purple-pink color...that wasn't my intention ;)
Emily, Congratulations on this new bike also!!! and posting a pic of you and Catrin. Now I can match Catrin's face to her post. It looks like since your return to the states all is falling in place very nicely for you :)
Thanks, JoAnn!
I finally got the Jamis out on a 20+ mile utility ride today (to Wal-Mart and Natural Grocer), and it rides like a dream. Although I really bought it for unpaved roads and trails, I am realizing how nice it is to have a fullie for the urban roads here in the Kansas City area, with their many cracks, potholes, and areas of uneven pavement. I've been riding my Trek until I got slicker tires on the Jamis, but now that I have that, will ride the Jamis a lot more for our in-town rides. It fits like a dream, is super comfortable, and gorgeous to boot. I am one lucky lady! :D
