Eek! We wound up having the worst blizzard on record yesterday in Oklahoma City. We got 14" (which although it's not much for you northerners, it's a TREMENDOUS amount of snow for us). Our previous record of 8.5" was shattered. The city shuts down with 3-4", so 14" about did us in. The airport, and all the highways and many major roads were shut down- and there are abandoned cars/buses/trucks littering the streets. My DH is a mailman, so he had to deliver mail in it all day, but made it home safely. they had to send out the National Guard out to rescue people stuck on the highways.

We've only had 3 white Christmases in the last 100 years, but we got one this year. I think it's highly over-rated. Snow is just problematic unless your city can handle clearing it off effectively (which ours cannot). :) It's pretty, but I'm already ready for it to go away.
