Well, this is where I wanted to ride. It's my favorite bike path - it goes down the hill and follows along what's usually beside the river, and goes under the bridge and continues on --

Should've brought a snorkel! That's the Arkansas River. Back in June, it was a parched channel with puddles. We'd been in a severe drought. Then July was our fourth wettest in history. And we're still getting more rain. Sure has been a crazy year!
Went cycling up on Whidbey Island today

Deborajen, you just have to get inventive :)
Whidbey is a bigger island, but it should be similar. We've been having a pretty exceptional summer this year. It's been warm and dry... (unlike the past 2 years, when I never even got tan lines, because it wasn't ever warm enough to take the knee and arm warmers off....) I do have to warn you, even though it was shorts weather at my house yesterday. It was very windy and a bit nippy out on the island. I was fine cycling in my shorts and short sleeves, but on my way home I could have used long pants and a jacket outside of the car, so pack some chilly weather gear too (and it nearly always cools off considerably at night around here).
OK, what is going on with the file attachments? Everytime I upload something I get a big red symbol next to the file number, and I can't drag it into the bottom part.
I've never had any issues before.
2 thoughts - the file sizes may be too big for direct uploads or you may have reached the your limit on files stored on the server? (assuming you are uploading and not hot linking).
This is what I saw on my ride last Sunday, in Pepperell, MA.
OK, I deleted all the images stored. NowI cannot figureout why my pics always appear as thumbnails. DH and I searched everywhere to find a place to change this. I remember changing the size of my attachments a long time ago, before the forum format changed. The new thing just feels very non-intuitive, if that is even a word!
And this is the view from the Nashua River Rail Trail on Wednesday. Ironically, this spot is also in Pepperell, MA, according to my I Phone.
I'm not sure if you can change the thumbnail thing. Uploaded files show up as clickable thumbnails, hot-linked files (mine are actually on flickr) show up as full size.
This is what we found on Curve St. in Carlisle: It was huge.

Wow.. that's a snapping turtle isn't it... those guys bite
Yeah, that's why we did not attempt to pick it up and move it back to the grass.
My favorite is me in the tree, was the route to a perfect campsite, over one tree and under another, piece of cake
