The snow was up to my mid-calf this morning when I took Shiloh out for a walk. I heard on the radio that the airport got 9", and that's just four miles from my house. It's still snowing hard. It's very pretty, and Shiloh was in heaven on his walk.

Tried calling my son last night and he didn't return the call, which is most unusual. But, then I saw DIL posted last night on FB, that they were leaving tonight. It's out of my hands... someone who has survived 2 tours in Iraq can handle a flight delay! Besides, they are going to her family, not me. They might arrive in Philly a couple of days late, I suppose, but they will be getting here on time next Sunday, because the train rarely stops running.
I'm sorry you're getting pounded by all the snow! I *am* glad that it's you and not me, tho. ;)
Please post more pictures! I love looking at the snow- just not being in it! :)
It's really coming down now. I've shoveled twice and you can't even tell! Because you asked, here are a couple of pictures.
Here's Sammy and Ruby quite a few inches ago.

I guess this is the 1-2 inches we were supposed to get by morning....and it's supposed to snow until when???
I think I'm going to have to take up snow biking this winter.

This is before the seriously heavy stuff started...... A bit blurry but you get the idea. Reagan Nat'l is now closed (it's about five miles from me). I
LOL, funny how all of our animals get in the snow pictures. :D
If I can figure out the timer I'll take a photo for you.
I could take a photo of the van:rolleyes:
Ritamarie, that picture of your horse is beautiful!
I took these about 12:30 pm today.

My balcony has another balcony above it that normally shields most of it from precipitation. Today it is covered with snow all the way to the door.
Oh, thanks! I am regretting a missed photo opportunity though. When I first walked up into the pasture, concerned that Tat wasn't coming down for breakfast, he was all the way up at the end and started trotting down when he saw me. Snow was billowing up behind him. It was quite a sight, almost surreal. By the time I got the camera out and on, he'd slowed to a walk and that's the picture I got. Maybe he'll give me a re-enactment this afternoon, and this time I'll be ready!
I've got yeast bread (an oatmeal/whole wheat/honey bread) rising, and will make pumpkin bread today, too.
Anything to avoid cleaning the house! :D
Pics are here.
You should post the patio table shots on channel 5 or channel 7's web. Maybe you'll get on the tee vee.
