You can use laser technology to get rid of your hair. It is costly, but eventually hair will grow back less and less.
My bf shaves his legs for cycling...he hasn't had any problems with bumpy skin or anything. It feels weird though, to rub my legs against his hairless legs now!
I long to click my heels and end up in Berkeley in the 70s where men were men and the rest of us were women and all of us were hairy as hobbitses and we were too busy drinking coffee and saving the world by re-using washed out plastic bags that we had hung on the clothesline with the rest of the rags.

I don't really get down with electric shavers. I feel like I have more control with a regular razor :) I actually work for a marketing company that is promoting Schick's Quattro for Women. I started using it recently and it is great. If you're asking for a woman's advice, this shaver does the trick! It is a lot easier on the legs than most other razors, but apparently pain is not an issue for you ;)
