I am really sick... finally went to the Minute Clinic and the NP agreed with my own dx of sinus infection. I should have gone last week! Praying it doesn't go into my chest at this point, so no exercise for a couple of days.

Let's not mention the weekend....back on track now though. Considering it was a camping/mtb weekend I didn't do too badly. Until there was beer...

D: roasted chicken, kale, onion, and mushrooms (veggies sauteed in coconut oil - yummy!), strawberries with a bit of coconut milk poured over for dessert.
Still under my calorie target a bit, but not too bad.

still not feeling well yesterday. Antibiotic is working, but I take a long time to recover. Forcing myself not to ride, walk, or go to the gym. Basically, have felt too bad to do anything except work, sleep, etc. My weight is down.

32 mile hilly ride; ate a Luna Bar over the course of the ride, 3/4 bottle of Nuun, a bottle of water
L: stopped and had lunch when we were about 7 miles from home. Had a grilled salmon sandwich on a roll (white, unfortunately) with lettuce and tomato, and a salad with vinaigrette. I really wanted fried scallops and onion rings.
S: corn tortilla
D: veal stew with tomato sauce, broccoli, basil, onion, white wine and whole wheat cous cous. This was a fail; the veal was tough, even though I made it exactly as directed.

Then I biked for lst 42 kms. At restaurant, even before we sat down, I gobbled up a fresh apricot from my pannier.
L: eggs benedict over crab cakes with chipotle hollandaise sauce, large pineapple juice drink and 2 c. of coffee with milk
then cycled remaing 46 km. into a headwind-crosswind 75% of time. I was beat.
D: noodles with leftover venison, herbed wine sauce with cooked kohl rabi slices from a previous meal, sauteed green and yellow beans with basil and onions. Blackberry wine. (this was a home meal) Several pieces of cheese.
Tea with milk and handful of fresh cherries, for evening snack.

Dinner: went all out - it was our 24th anniversary; sirloin steak, au gratin potatoes, mixed veges, french onion soup, little bit of a spinach dip appetizer with chips, 2 glasses of red wine (couldn't quite finish the second glass). Wow, was I full! It was very good.

On top of that I was trying to get out of the office by 4:15 to go to a board meeting (which now has been cancelled at the last minute!)

My eating bonanza continues. No apparent ill effects so far, except I woke up feeling a little, ah, full. A lot full.

D: went for a drink and appetizer at the Colonial Inn and ended up having that plus another drink and dinner. 1.5 duck sliders (delicious), 2 mojitos, a lentil, rice, avocado, and onion combo for dinner

Sunday:
B: one waffle with walnuts and dried cranberries, 2 pieces turkey apple sausage, blueberries and half a banana, coffee
Did a 51 mile ride with 2300 ft of climbing. During the ride i ate a Luna Bar and one Shot Block, as well as a bottle of Nuun and a little water. I should have drank more. Also had lunch of a soy nut butter sandwich on Ezekial raisin bread and a peach. Then, about 4 miles from home had coffee and half a blueberry muffin made with yogurt. These kinds of rides make me ravenous.
D: 2 slices Machengo cheese and whole wheat pita rounds, 2 chicken thighs, broccoli, salad, quinoa
I've been eating way too much.

Yesterday:
Breakfast: marrow bone broth with a couple ounces of sliced grass-fed beef (from the soup bone), mushrooms, baby spinach. Once this was hot enough I tossed in 2 eggs and allowed them to poach in the broth...divine!
L: roasted chicken and a baby spinach salad with assorted veggies + extra virgin olive oil for dressing and a few strawberries for dessert
D: 4 ounces grass-fed ground beef "burger" on top of romaine lettuce, onion, and fresh tomato with extra virgin olive oil/lemon dressing and a bit of Havarti + dill cheese.
A bit slim on veggies yesterday, but it is getting close to shopping time.

30 mile lovely bike ride - had a small piece of nitrate free beef jerky with 4 dried cherries (unsweetened) and 4 macadamia nuts at the halfway point.
D: 4 oz baked Pacific salmon, sauteed bok choy and lacinto kale, 1 beer
Today:
Breakfast: eggs, bacon, baby spinach, coffee
75 minute hard workout - though it wasn't as hard as it once was :)
L: cold roasted chicken quarter and strawberries (between workout and Irish Festival - figured I was less likely to eat bad stuff if I ate first).

D: 3 ounces braised arm roast (heavenly!) with bok choy and kale sauteed with onion, mushrooms, garlic and olive oil. I had a good amount of garlic in the broth for the braising as well. It is good I am single with all of the garlic :) Dessert was a little "shake" made with 1/4 cup coconut milk and strawberries blended with 3 ice cubes. Delish!

Snack- quarter slice of Chinese lotus seed moon cake (it's Autumn Festival) and tea with milk. Back after a 40 km. ride. But before another 28 km. ride for farmers market visit elsewhere.

Dinner- steamed trout fillet with ginger root, onion, a bit of soy sauce, oil. Stir fry of fresh noodle, bok choy, green and yellow beans, onion and garlic.
