Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 32.8 mph, down a long, gradual hill near Lake Pleasant this fall. Near the bottom of the hill, I heard a hissing sound -- it was a rattlesnake about a foot away from my bike! Believe me, I picked up the pace.

Most memorable moment on my bike: Climbing to the top of South Mountain. You gain about 1,100 feet in 5.5 miles. I've never wanted so badly to get off my bike, but I really felt accomplished after I finished!
Most fun ever had on a bike? The first time I rode at night. I loved the connection with my bike; it was the first time I felt like we were working completely together.
Blasphemous words! :) I had a Coor's Light, yuck, after my only race this year. Geez, it never tasted soooo good. I downed it like a soda pop and I don't drink alcohol very often or very much at a time.Quote:
