Which is probably one reason WHY you were having a blast! Cool pic!Quote:

it sounds really funny now seeing it here :D .. just an aussie way of talking!
Did you bring your pedals and have the rental joint put them on for you? My hubby and I brought our bikes out on our trip to British Columbia earlier this summer, but between the bike box rental, the flight charge, and 2 days of "delayed" baggage (1 day each side), not to mention the dent my poor Pilot had to suffer (it's cosmetic but still, I was bummed ya know), I can't help but think renting would have been easier and probably cheaper. The problem is how do you find places that rent good quality bikes?Quote:

We were in the Vancouver area along Howe Sound. We rode around Squamish and also inland around Pemberton. And walked around Whistler (lots of pedestrians and didn't have the time to find the lesser traveled areas). The bike paths around Whistler looked very idea for hybrid type bikes though, and it's nice to see you could really get around that way. Absolutely beautiful there.Quote:

They all pretend to think I'm crazy and eccentric for commuting (which I am but that's beside the point... :D ) but secretly they all wanna do it!
Great picture! Is that a Shebeest Ocean Wind Bellissima jersey from here at TE? I've been eyeing it for about a week. Is it comfortable?Quote:

BTW, your bike is sweet. :)
Yeah they are probably laughing all the way to the gas station. Then they stop laughing. :DQuote:

What a lovely internal hub gear you have on that bike, Gozlin7.
And the dynohub too. You don't even waste batteries.
I realized after I posted my muddy picture that I was on a loaner bike, and not Bob. So here we are, in a race, and riding last winter.....
( I hope this works....)
Megapixel issues.......trying again.....
hey, R & R girl,
why does that second photo look so... strange?
the first is great, riding in the snow. I've never done that, (nor do I want to!)
But i'm glad you do and can :)
Hey guys, way way up, the second or third post in this thread i am wearing that other
sheebeest jersey, the one with orange and the daisies. I like it a lot!
I also have a mock leopardskin shell jacket, apparently an older sheebeest design. I wear that
for non-biking events too.
r & r girl the first picture makes me want to bike with you. i miss the snow... can't wait it snows and all the bears go away and i can bike freely again.
Yo CW,
Maybe we could meet in the middle....like............Idaho!!!!
HA!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am looking forward to cooler weather biking myself.....I got new winter mt bike pants....yeah...gear............
Looks strange because it was taken by the "official" photographer at the race, then scanned in to my computer and then resized several times to upload, so it is grainy by now!!!!!
Or maybe it looks strange because of the subject?????
Speaking of meeting in the middle/Idaho....
I was working at the Western Idaho Fair today, when a nice looking young man wearing a RAGBRAI shirt walked by. I said, hey! That's a famous bike ride across Iowa. And he said yes, been going on for 27 years (I think his said XXV on it, so it's been a couple of years for him). He also said that he's ridden from somewhere in Alaska to Boise, on his mountain bike -- 3500 miles. I was impressed! 3500 miles for one trip sounds a bit loony, but still, impressive!

If you need to resize a indexed colour image, convert it to RGB colour mode first, then back to index when finished. But for photos, definitely stick to .jpg

I sorta have some idea what that means. I do not know how to do that conversion, but that is for another thread LOL. I wonder if the photographer uses that format on purpose. They probably do not want us to scan the pictures after we purchase them, because then you could reprint. They charge an arm and a leg for the pictures.
Since we are on the picture topic. How do you get it show up in the body of the response and not as an attachment?

that's meeeee......I'm a postie!Quote:

but posties here get to deliver on motorbikes, not pushies...dammit!
here we don't have delivary. everyone has a box and they have to come to me to get their mail.
that's coz you live in the sticks
same goes here for those who don't live in suburbia
LOL - I love hearing Aussies on here. I said pushies to someone here in the States the other day and they just look at me and said what are you talking about. Same for Sunnies.....no idea. So I like to say I was wearing my Sunnies on my Pushie just to confuse them.:D :DQuote:

It was rainy that day, plus, my feet were already wet before the ride because the parking lot (field) was a sodden mess. Water was squishing up through my cleats. It's a good thing I had those things (they're my husband's from his cycling-in-Indiana and Chicago days) or I never would have even gotten started because my feet would have frozen!!
when it's a parcel, it's too big for the postie, so the man in the white van delivers it. From my home office window I can see the traffic coming into our quiet street. When I see the postie van come into the street, I just sit there eyes glued to see if he's gonna come down my driveway (I've usually got something on order from somewhere in the world waiting to be delivered...)... I just get excited every time I see his van....Quote:
