It was a great ride. I gotta practice riding more on the brake hoods, though -- my thumbs be hurting.

AG, thanks for inviting us! Dinner was excellent and your son very well-behaved. We must do it again sometime.

And I will put together a velodrome outing for TE gals in the spring.

gettin' up early to get ready to bike in to work. Tomorrow, I'm sure I won't be up a minute before I have to be, but.... that's tomorrow. :D Gonna hate myself for this this afternoon, but when I'm all excited about something, anything, it's impossible to make myself sleep.

Frankly surprised it's not raining. It's a balmy, overcast 47 right now. gonna wear the fuzzy under-jacket.

Here's the one with J. too. (he's not a triathlete, he's a try-to-swallow-a-whole-beer-keg-at-one-shot guy.) Here ya go, better catch 'em before they come back off!! There's a bonus of me and my other BF. We've been dating steady since I first met him when I was 2. Cute isn't he? I've voted for him in so many elections, but sadly he never wins. :D

OTG - Eh, I think I can take her. ;) One short jab kick placed just right on the outside of her ankle and she's down for the count. Then he's mine, all mine! :D (What can I say, those shoes just turn me on.)

Kit - emailed ya. Have fun on the commute today. Be safe little sister and look both ways before crossing at the intersections. No wheelies either young lady! :p

I am at work which is very very boring and dull. More than you can imagine.
well maybe you can.
It's interesting, i've met 3 new people in the last week, one won a titanium bike in a race (that would be Eden) one rode the Paris Brest Paris ride, and the other (married to Eden) spent an hour in the basement before we got there, where he was riding his bike on a trainer.
How better to stay involved with biking than to continue to meet other people with the same passion?

and when your passion is flagging (i haven't ridden since before i went to Italy unless you count the 1 mile on the shop bike) it's good to talk about it, to keep interest alive.

and buying stuff for the bike raises the guilt level, so you end up riding just s
to validate purchases. Everything works..

I hear you Mimi, I was going through bike withdrawal yesterday and feeling guilty cuz I had some fries for supper, so I rode my trainer with my jeans on for 30 minutes while watching tv. It's all good!

Work will wiz by this week - which is good. I finally made progress on organizing around the house last night and I feel - relieved, less cluttered when I walk into the house now. I need to drop some boxes of stuff off at Good Will. And now I have a box of rags for my bikes (old tshirts). Fun, fun, stuff:p

I volunteered to help chair our community Tgiving meal. So I'll be there in the morning, but we are very fortunate to have 40 families sign up to help with it! Because of that, I think we'll sneak out early so I can head over to my folks and have lunch with them. My mom was very disappointed to hear we wouldn't be there so she would love to have us there.

now that is very cool! I hope your mother at least appreciates what you are doing.
we did that one year. we cooked turkeys in our oven and in our neighbor's oven, and my husband sliced three turkeys
which we then delivered to some homeless shelter.

We should do that again. THis year we are driving to the boonies to spend time with one of his cousins.. and MY mother will not have family for thanksgiving this year thanks to the bs with my sister.

Nanci, sorry you have to work on Thanksgiving. Believe me, I know how that feels and it stinks.

This is actually the first Thanksgiving and Christmas I'm going to have off since college. I even have Black Friday off -- my first four-day weekend as an employee.

I'm trying to figure out what to do with myself because I don't particularly want/need to go shopping, but I don't want to just stay at home, either. Maybe my bike will finally visit the shop for some different parts. Maybe.
