Kiwi: nice to see another Kiwi on board - one of the countries I'm gonna get to yet darn it. Just as soon as I find me that rich man that wants a kept woman to help him spend his money! :D
You know I can't remember - (it was 1999). I think I still have the results book at home - I'll have to checkQuote:

It's quite novel reading this stuff and actually knowing what/where someone's talking about. I love that first view of the sea you get when you go clockwise around the short loop at Bottle Lake. Sheesh, I'm gonna make myself homesick if I'm not careful... :rolleyes:Quote:

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Never have had much patience or tolerance for lying with myself or others. It's just a lot easier to tell the truth. Less to remember, and as the years roll by - that's important!
Most memorable moment on my bike: I've only been riding since July 2005 so every time I do something I didn't know I could do, such as completing 39.4 miles a few weeks ago, is a thrill for me. (You better believe that .4 is VERY important.) :D
Most fun ever had on a bike? Pretty much every Saturday when we can do longer rides. This past Saturday I saw an emu on a golf course! Now that's just weird. I think the emu was doing better than most of the folks out on the course! :p
TexasMermaid - Hi- do you think the Emu was on holidays. :DQuote:

Welcome to the board Tex! Very cute post and you better betcha that .4 miles is important - just wait til you try your first century - Anything over 100 counts!! lolol
and I gotta ask - was the Emu playing through or was it stuck in a sandtrap? ;)
Trekhawk - no emu pies here! :D Those funny birds are much more fun to watch. There are tons of ostrich, emu, and rhea farms around but I never have seen a bird loose on the course like that.
CM - Century?!? Seems miles away from today. I know I will be able to do it, but don't you think a nice shiny new ride would help me get there? ;) Hey Santa, been a really good girl this year... um, sort of!Quote:
