Petra, that's originally a Ben Franklin quote, actually... :D
Amber- Where am I going, and what's this handbasket all about!? :D
*puts on her security guard uniform and cap* "Okay, ladies, show's over... CWR might be betwixt a rock and a hard place, but unfortunately, no coconuts in said pictures."
Cuz I'm working so hard here...I was looking at Chicks old posts trying to find the portal to said pictures (sorry Amber!) when, to my shock:eek: I found out that Kit.....is gay:eek: I just don't know what to do now!! Good Lord people, even us cheeseheads are more opened minded than some people.
So, happy Kit, where in Wisconsin do you hale and wish your ashes-in-a-peanutbutter-jar to be scattered (I thought that was funny, btw)? Oh, and just for you, that humor thread had me ROTFLMAO! What a hoot you girls are having over there.
kit let me spell it out for you: H-E-Double hockey sticks
cocunuts hey... maybe i'll have to work on that one.....
good luck Dar ;)
Thanks man. I switched gears and did some shopping for my SS. Almost done and look - it's almost time to go home!
dar if you really did order those north face pants you are going to be in love!
i just got mine, after my wonderful postie boss called to tell me they came in, and tried them on and Ohmygod! they are a dream!!!! now i want another one in a different color. i got the asphalt grey thinking about the classic khaki.
Dar--good luck with IL guy! I'll be off line most of tomorrow-Sun, but expect a full report! :D
Kitsune06 "God help us if Trek and Knot ever start working together on the apparel pushing front..."
if smartwool socks are tossed up over the phone line does that mean it's a corner where you can buy outdoor apparel?
"Operation CHEESEHEAD: Check His Eccentricies, Expect Sweetness, Equal Happiness, (and)Erroneously Admire D.... you know what? FROG works better. :D"
operation needle in a haystack?
operation pick o' the litter?
Pants.
I just got a pair of pants this afternoon for work. Dressing and undressing and dressing and undressing.
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate shopping? I love ordering through catalogs, but I hate *going* to the store and *shopping* for clothes.
and some people do that for FUN?!?!
Anyway, they are Columbia Edgewater Chinos. Not as sexy as the North Face pants. Size 10 fit just fine, and gave me the nice "perky buns" look, but I got 12's so I'd have room to move at work. I'll have to put a belt in 'em to keep 'em up, but that's ok. At least Columbia has short, regular, and long inseams. It's hard to find that in women's pants, but men's seem to always come in lengths. Why is that?
Hopefully I have enough work pants now (3 pr) that I won't have to do that again for a while.
Knot-would-rather-wear-Levis-to-work
is it only me, but i find it interesting that Trek420 was the first one to post on page 420. could it be a sign?
Knot i'm the same way. i rather shop through internet or catalog, but not in a store, i don't have that much patience and hate dealing with people! and i rather be wearing something else besides a uniform that is all brown. ok so i shouldn't complain, i have a good job. thank you uncle sam.
**stomps into TD, looking around wildly, hair all wind blown and JF'd looking **
What the heck is going on in here tonight? I go to work for a few hours and y'all go ape sh*t! :D
Cute, very cute. Mess? What mess? **as I close the closet door behind me** I have to admit, the "sunshine" did get to me a bit. (This is a family forum, keep it clean X.) All I gotta say is... I mean... I just... Nope, no way to keep it clean. I guess I'll just stop there.Quote:

Woohoo Kit!!!!!
Never a doubt in my mind. But are they gonna actually expect you to work? Geez, this may really cut into your TD time. Oh, I guess we'll all just have to learn to adjust.
Never thought I'd see you write that in a sentence.;)
Sorry about the tix. I agree with the SWA assessment. They're great. Good customer service and cheap to boot. I've been online lately looking at where I can go with them for my next vacation. (since I actually have time and money for one again) Lots of choices in the US. Can you try to sell your current tix on Craig's List or Ebay?
Dressing, undressing... do we get to choose which?  ( Oh, that's gonna cause problems.**slaps forehead**)
With the tap, they probably took a sample of cerebral spinal fluid and tested it. While they were there, they should have checked your pressure. Since the spinal fluid runs into your ventricles of your brain, they can look to see if it's too high, causing undue pressure. It can affect you with headaches, migraines, dizzyness, pains all over your body, syncopal episodes... If they find you run very high normally, and taking some out relieves symptoms, they may be able to do a shunt type of thing. Just a thought.
CWR and Kit - hmmm... intriguing. You know I'll investigate and find out, don't you? I've got infinite patience.
Aww, crud. Pesky patients. I'll be back after the blowout tonight. Be good kids!
...why a brown uniform? My dad's a postie, and he (though having some restrictions) can wear normal people clothes...
Knot- I feel your pain. (I think that's where the "I feel ya" phrase came from...) hadda go shopping for business casual clothes (d*mn not being able to wear cargos to work!) only two freakin' brands in the store managed to fit my hips/butt without being huge in the waist or having lots of excess (for whatever reason) in the waistband near my kidneys. D'oh! And shirts/sweaters! Ugh! RRR!!!! Oh, and I tore my earpit yesterday trying to fight a turtleneck off. it hurt. :(
Page 420. Woohoo! Um... only special to me because I really like 1620 the time and Trek's model 420 road bikes are very stylish. :D
postie job = normal people clothes
fws job = because i'm in a "field station" we have to wear the uniforms.
I'm tickled too that dear Trek420 was the first to post on page 420.
Kit, those pants boochy out at the waist/kidneys because you and I have hourglass figures. Curvaceous hips and slender pinched waists. Most women's clothes are made with wider waists than we have, cuz most women have wider waists than we have. Or is it that we have wider hips?
Anyway, if you need business casual, try Columbia pants. I have fairly good luck with them. Waists are still a little big, but not impossibly so. Coldwater Creek chinos aren't too bad, either. Horny Toad is pretty decent, depending on the style. Some Royal Robbins are ok.
horney toad.... hehehehehe.
what am i going to do? they are cutting off my internet for "updates" in 10 mins! i'll still have an hour of work to go.
